The 2018 Gingerbread Display in Disney World’s BoardWalk Inn is up and ready for the viewing pleasure of guest’s stopping by this Epcot area Resort!
The BoardWalk pastry chefs are once again taking us to a miniature edible version of the Showplace of the Shore with popular stops along the BoardWalk. This is a returning theme from last year when it made its debut; however, the setup has changed and SO MANY more fun details have been added this year!
The BoardWalk Bakery makes up the central focus of the display.
And you can see that Mickey has been joined in the Bakery kitchen by Minnie, Donald, Pluto, and Goofy (standing behind Pluto). And with all the help, he’s been able to make many more treats this year, right down to the Bakery’s Carrot Cake!
You can even see the red and white tables placed outside.
Flying Fish has a new gingerbread look this year, complete with lighting inside and even a teeny popcorn stand out in front.
Trattoria al Forno is also complemented with lights and outdoor seating.
The ESPN Club completes the restaurant lineup with its signature barbell breaking through the ceiling.
And new to the scene is a gazebo area, just waiting for a happy Christmas couple to take their wedding vows and ride away in Cinderella’s coach.
Surrounding the setup, Gingerbread Mickeys and Sugar Cookies are available for purchase.
And if you’d like to try your hand at a Gingerbread House of your very own, you can check out the info for the returning Gingerbread Academy, led by the Pastry Chef Team.
And so we say, “HAPPY HOLIDAYS…”
…from the Disney World BoardWalk!

These gingerbread displays are amazing, but $5/$6 a cookie… ouch! I’d be curious to know which was your favorite treat from the gingerbread houses… I wouldn’t mind spending the money on one if it was really good!
Susan says
Thank you so much for posting the photo with the info about the Gingerbread Academy! I just booked this for my family during our Christmas week trip, and we’re so excited about it! For anyone who’s interested, it’s held daily through Christmas Day at 1 pm, and only one family is booked per day. So considering that you’re getting a one-on-one experience with the pastry chefs, I think this is an incredible value! For an extra $25, you can make two gingerbread houses instead of one.
Essie says
Omgosh, how wonderfully detailed is the work they did on this display. Thanks for sharing the photos with everyone who can’t get there to see it. It’s just so well done!
DFB Sarah says
Essie, I’m blown away every year by the details!
gail says
ahhh, we left Sunday. I thought it odd that Boardwalk did not have a display.
Jen says
Do they sell the Gingerbread shingles like the Contemporary and Grand Floridian do?
DFB Sarah says
Jen, there are shingles at the Contemporary’s gingerbread display, but we did not see any at the BoardWalk this year.
