If your “Happy Space” is Space Mountain, then you’ll be seeing the recently refurbished exit on your way out of the Mountain the next time you conquer it in Magic Kingdom!
Since the refurbishment focused on the ride’s exit, the attraction itself has remained up and running. But now guests are able to wind their way out via the new exit.
The biggest change is that the speedramp which previously carried guests for a portion of the exit was removed, so you’ll be walking your way through the winding ramps.
And the brightened, lengthened pathway of the exit has a minimalistic design popped with “futuristic” light fixtures.
Color begins to paint the scene with an entirely new feel as you make your final steps.
But not everything has changed. For instance, you’ll still have the chance to pick up a few souvenirs on your way out into the gift shop 😉 !
Tomorrowland keeps on changing as we prepare for the arrival of the TRON attraction! See more Disney World changes in our DFB YouTube Video!

So upset they removed the speed ramp. When I was little and there was no line, we would run down that ramp to ride again, it was so fun, you felt like you were going so fast. Why would they remove such a neat part!!

I’m surprised (disappointed?) that Disney didn’t do something more creative with the exit. Seems pretty industrial/corporate boring.

Wow I hate this so so so much. It looks industrial/corporate just like Paul said. They took away some of the magic for …..nothing at all. So upsetting.

Those light fixtures look like something that would hang over someone’s mid century designed dining room. Used too many times. Not very unique. Disney needs to rethink the current design/theme/lack-of theme aesthetic going on right now, at space mountain and hotel refurbishments. Boring stuff.
