The Flurry of Fun at Walt Disney World’s Disney’s Hollywood Studios might as well be called Flurry of Deliciousness because with the holiday festivities also came a ton of exciting holiday treats! Believe it or not, there are so many fantastic eats and drinks that we created the DFB’s exclusive Flurry of Fun Food Checklist.
Yeah, we take our snacking pretty seriously. 😉
But now we need to break it down. Because if you’re trying to eat your way through the Disney Parks this year, you’ll have to roll yourself home. (Trust us, we know.) And that’s why you’ve got us!
We try it all (see ALL of our Flurry of Fun Reviews Here!) — so we can help you find the BEST of Hollywood Studios’ Flurry of Fun!
Egg Nog Panna Cotta
This is one Flurry of Fun treat that you don’t want to miss if you’re an egg nog fan — and believe us when we say that it was a bit of a surprise! Panna Cotta that’s not done well tends to give us milk jello vibes, and that’s not a good thing. But the Egg Nog Panna Cotta from Catalina Eddie’s was a good example of panna cotta done right.
The panna cotta itself is creamy and really carries that egg nog flavor. The tart raspberries are a phenomenal counterpart, and we also loved the bits of cranberry on top. It’s a dessert that’s both comfortable and classy. Get this!
Chocolate Chestnut Mousse
Okay, the Chocolate Chestnut Mousse gets a new category here at the DFB: most interesting treat! You’ll get yours at Backlot Express, and you’ll be happy you did! The pinecone is comprised of smooth chocolate mousse, which is sprinkled with some green, sparkly, edible glitter that makes it look like it came straight from the forest. The base of the mousse is a piece of (hidden from view) chocolate cake, and it rests on crushed praline.
The appearance and the flavor combo makes this one fun to look at and fun to eat. But note that these are in high demand and often sell out to the point that they take it off the menu. Get there early to get yours.
Holiday Shortbread Cookies
If you’re looking for a BEST treat that’s a little simpler (and cute as can be!), head over to Hollywood Scoops Ice Cream Stand, and get the Holiday Shortbread Cookies. These speak for themselves on sight.
Yeah, don’t bother trying to resist the cuteness. Any effort to do so is futile. Buy them for yourself, for a picky eater in your crew, or for a souvenir!
Alien Santa Popcorn Bucket
The BEST vessel at Flurry of Fun comes packed with classic Disney popcorn: the Alien Santa Popcorn Bucket! Toy Story’s little green men are all dressed up for the season, and if you can get your hands on one, you won’t want to let go! (If you do, someone’s gonna claim it because #seriouscollectible.)
Don’t worry — this treat is worth it!
Spiked Hot Cocoa Flight
The Spiked Hot Cocoa Flight can be found in two spots: Fairfax Fare and Dockside Diner! Good thing, too, because once you get through the flight with its richness and fun flavor combos, you’re probably going to want another.
These are creamy combinations of Baileys and Hot Chocolate with cinnamon, Vanilla Vodka and Hot Chocolate, and Cherry Bourbon and Hot Chocolate. Basically, they taste like the holidays themselves.
Woody’s Cinnamon Cran-Apple Tart
Ever since Woody’s Lunch Box opened in late-June this year, we’ve been craving his Lunch Box Tarts. And now Woody’s assembled a perfect Cinnamon Cran-Apple Tart for the holidays! This grown-up Pop Tart is packed with cran-apple flavor, and the cinnamon is prominent. We also can’t get enough of that little toasted marshmallow in the shape of an acorn!
If these were in our lunch box every day, we’d be totally thrilled.
Friends, if you can’t eat all the Flurry of Fun treats, then you’ve got to eat the BEST! Enjoy, and Happy Holidays!
