Chef Dion says
Just a side note regarding the guest parking. My wife and I stayed with family for three days before our check in at Riverside. We flew in and had my parents pick us up so we would not have to deal with both a car rental and paid parking at the resort. When my family dropped us off for check in the guard at the gate asked for our ID’s and asked for at room number. To be fair we did mobile check-in. But on check out my wife noticed they had charged us for 7 days of parking. We had at while to wait for our Magical Express bus, so we went to resolve the issue at the front desk. Our Cast member told us that the front gate registered the car to our room when we arrived and even showed us the arrival timestamp. We told her that the car we arrived in was our parents’ who lived in Orlando and just dropped us off. She explained that the gate made the assumption because it was not a bus, taxi, Uber or other rideshar vehicle. She did apologize, and submitted a credit for the fees to the card that was on file for the room. It did take a few days before the credit hit our account. So if you are being met at OIA and having family or some other ride share vehicle drop you off at check-in do not give the front gate a room number, let them know that you are a drop off only, and double check your statement BEFORE you leave the resort.
