Those of you traveling to Walt Disney World in the next couple of weeks are definitely going to want to know about the temporary closure of one of Fantasyland’s most beloved rides.
Peter Pan’s Flight will be closed for refurbishment through early February!
No details about the reason for the refurbishment have been released, but the closure is scheduled through February 2, 2019. The short timeframe likely provides a clue to some simple maintenance work.
Even though the closure is short — lasting under a month, if it opens as scheduled — it throws a wrench into the plans of visitors this time of year.
And as Pan is one of the most popular early-morning attractions in Magic Kingdom, expect wait times at other attractions to rise a bit during the closure.

Replacing the ride track is the reason, but the characters and sets are getting spruced up while we have the opportunity.
