It’s always true that you should “look up” when you’re in Disney World so you’re sure to catch various details and design throughout the Resort within the parks, their attractions, and Resorts. But now “look up” is especially good advice, because you may just catch one of the gondolas from the Disney Skyliner now in testing!
We just spotted gondolas in place last week at the Hollywood Studios station, but initial testing is now underway for the gondolas to take to the skies.
Several gondolas will be decorated with characters and graphics from Disney films and attractions. Here is a look at new artwork which Disney just revealed!
And Disney has now revealed that some of the films (in addition to those in the artwork above) which will be represented will also include:
- Beauty & the Beast
- Peter Pan
- Frozen
- Lilo & Stitch
- Moana
- The Princess and the Frog
- Ralph Breaks the Internet
- Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
- Zootopia
- Coco
- Finding Dory
- Monsters, Inc.
- Ratatouille
Represented attractions will include The Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean. Other pals that will come along for the ride will include Goofy, Pete, Horace Horsecollar, and Clarabelle Cow!
Disney has shared that “you may jump into a gondola where from the ground it will look like Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto or Chip & Dale are riding along with you.” The following video also shows some behind-the-scenes moments in the construciton of the Disney Skyliner!
The Disney Skyliner will begin carrying guests in the fall of 2019, and will connect Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot to four Resorts: Art of Animation, Pop Century, Caribbean Beach and the upcoming Disney’s Riviera Resort.
So, next time you’re in Disney World, don’t forget to LOOK UP!

I can’t wait for the Skyliner! I remember when they had the Skyliner at Disneyland and we rode it for fun or just to get to the other end of the park!

I remember when they had this at the Magic Kingdom years ago when it was the only park there. I can’t wait to ride this one between Epcot and Hollywood Studios. I’m sure you will get amazing views from up there!!
