Holly says
AJ any news on when they will update the Hollywood Studios EMM? It only shows through April right now and our next trip is early July.
Karla says
We did early morning magic at Toy Story land and it was 100% worth it!
DFB Sarah says
Holly, we haven’t heard anything about this yet, but we’ll keep you posted if/when we do!
Greg says
Do they still the extra hours at night??
Melo says
I have a question, we purchased “After Hours” tickets at Animal kingdom. Do we need to purchase admission separately ontop of the AHT? Like for EM as well? Because how will Disney know when to “kick you out” times up!
Lisa says
does the park still open around 8am for rope drop at 9am? when the event is on!
DFB Sarah says
Lisa, the park does open as scheduled with the same morning routine (guests enter, Castle morning show, and rope drop). Early Morning Magic attendees have access to some attractions in Fantasyland starting at 745, and breakfast for the event is available until 10AM.
DFB Sarah says
Greg, yes, Disney World has Extra Magic Hours (morning and night included with WDW Resort stay), plus Early Morning Magic and After Hours (extra ticketed events).
DFB Sarah says
Melo, you do not need separate park admission. The After Hours event starts officially at 8:30PM, but party-goers can enter the park starting at 7PM! You’ll get a wristband that shows you’re there for the party. Anyone without a wristband will be told to leave the park when it closes, and the only way to get into or onto an attraction once the event starts is to show the wristband everywhere you go.
Lea Sober says
AJ…. I do not think I caught the answer on what happens after the EMM at the park. Can you stay in the park, or will they kick you out and make you pay for regular entrance fee……. Very confused on this, because park admission is more than the EMM price…. We will be there for the Magic Kingdom one in March. Please let us know
DFB Sarah says
Lea, good question. Early Morning Magic requires theme park admission as well. After Hours events, on the other hand, do not.
Lea says
But, that does NOT include the admission if you come at 10 am…. ONLY from 7 PM on…. That means if you want to have a whole day at park including the after hours, you would need to pay two admissions. I am asking because I have small grandkids and they could go until about 10 PM, but not longer…. I would have to pay TWO admissions right ?
DFB Sarah says
Lea, that’s correct. The After Hours pricing is a separate ticket (kind of like Mickey’s Halloween and Christmas parties) that allows you entry starting at 7PM — but not earlier. So if you plan to spend the day at the park, you’ll need admission for the regular operating hours PLUS the ticket for After Hours. Those with After Hours tickets will receive a wristband that identifies them as being there for the After Hours event, and that wristband will be the only way to get into or onto attractions once the park has closed to day guests. Let me know if you have any other questions!
Emily says
Hi,
I have an early morning reservation at BOG on one of the Early Morning Magic days – it is worth changing our plans and doing BOG on another day?
Mainly considering if we will still get a ride or two on Seven Dwarfs and be able to be in line for Peter Pan before the rope drop crowd get’s through.
Thanks!
DFB Sarah says
Emily, depending on how early your ADR is, you could still get in three rides. But since you’re paying for the extra time (and the breakfast that’s included), it might make sense to try for an ADR on a different day. But if BOG breakfast is really important to you, and you can’t move it, you’ll have to weigh whether you want to spend some of that Early Morning Magic in BOG. Either way, have fun!
Sarah says
I am a little confused on how you get to Magic Kingdom for EMM. We have tickets, but someone told us to get to MK we have to park at ticket and transportation then take the monorail. Will it be running at 7 am to get to EMM AT 7:45?
Thanks for any advice!
Karen says
Hi, member of dvc, we were told if staying on property we would not have to pay for early morning admittance. Is the early morning magic hrs different?
DFB Sarah says
Karen, Extra Magic Hours are included with Disney resort stays. Early Morning Magic is a separate early entry that requires a separate ticket. Hope this helps clarify!
