If you have an Advance Dining Reservation for a Disney World restaurant, you may notice a pop-up message when you open your My Disney Experience app and try to modify that reservation.
Some users are receiving a notification that they are unable to modify dining reservations in regards to changing the date, time, or party size via the app. (It seems that Apple device users primarily are unable to modify; Android users may not experience any changes to their options.) Guests are advised to visit disneyworld.com to modify or call (407) 939-1947 for assistance.
We note the wording of “at this time,” which implies that this is likely a glitch, but we’re not sure if it’s temporary or long-term. In any case, for now, many users are not able to modify dining reservations on the My Disney Experience app, and we’ll keep you posted as we learn more.

Looks like they are trying to close the loophole that allows a user to hold a reservation until the last minute. Then move the reservation out to another date and cancel without incurring a fee.

I have been getting this message and was wondering if they were updating the reservations portion of the app… iPhone user too !

The call to modify screen comes up for me when i am less than 24 hours away from an ADR and try to cancel it.
The previous version of the app had a “feature” whereby you could modify an ADR the day it was to take place, moving it to a subsequent day. Once on the subsequent day, you could cancel it without paying the no show fee. I suspect this is why they removed the feature in the Feb 5, 2019 release. I’m still using the previous version.

I agree with CraiginPA – I updated my app on 2/5 while we were in disney this week and was able to modify reservations that were more than 24 hours out, I only got the error message if I clicked on an ADR the day it was scheduled for.

Though I’m receiving the alert stating I cannot modify or cancel, it still allowed me to modify a reservation (though it is in April).

I had trouble making my reservations 180 days in advance. It gave me 2 reservations for each restaurant…when I called them about it they said there were no reservations for me….the agent made the reservations. Now 3 reservations showed up. MY BF called to get the extras removed and again no reservations..agent said we had cancelled all our reservations on our end (NOT!!!) Agent rebooked everything with =in an hour of our regular reservations…again we had confirmation #s. BF said its all taken care if….I called the next day to confirm because NO way do I trust DIsney anymore. Again no reservations= agent said we had cancelled (NOT) This time though I did get a confirmation email. Disney says when they look at my reservations they only see one per restaurant. …I see 5. This is turning into the trip from hell! Plane reservations just got changed also 7:35 am to 5 am. GRRRRR I figure the plane will explode.

I’ve been trying to modify ADRs for at, so not a last minute thing! I ended up phoning to get the modifications done – BTW iPhone user who has had all sorts of issues with MDE!
