As Epcot enters into the closing week of the Festival of the Arts (you have until February 25 to enjoy this Festival), they are already getting ready for the upcoming Flower and Garden Festival with some special landscaping!
One of the most popular pieces of landscaping for the Flower and Garden Festival is taking shape around the lakes between Future World and the World Showcase!
What’s New for Epcot’s Festivals
You can catch this preview of all the landscaping that is to come for the Flower and Garden Festival as you walk around the park.
The special landscaping is just one element of the Flower and Garden Festival — there’s also Food Booths! Be sure to read all the 2019 Flower and Garden Festival Food Booth Menus here!
What’s New in Epcot’s Future World
We caught up on the latest progress for the Guardians of the Galaxy ride opening in the park in 2021.
Be sure to click here to learn about how the ride vehicles for this new Guardians of the Galaxy ride will be revolutionary! We still can’t believe how massive this ride building is!
There’s also construction on a new restaurant going in the space between Test Track and Mission: Space.
The new restaurant will be space themed and open in 2020.
A new “portal into other dimensions” has opened in Image Works, which means Ralph and Vanellope from the Wreck-it Ralph films have a new home for their Meet and Greets.
Be sure to see all the photos and video of Ralph and Vanellope’s new Meet and Greets here!
What’s New in Epcot’s World Showcase
The Funnel Cake Stand in the American Adventure Pavilion has removed the Pumpkin Spice Funnel Cake from their menu. We hope to see this popular flavor return again this fall!
There is more vertical construction going on for the new signature restaurant in the Japan Pavilion.
The new restaurant will be in addition to Teppen Edo and Tokyo Dining. An opening date has not been announced yet; be sure to follow us for all the news and updates around the parks.
As part of the Festival of the Arts Paige O’Hara, the voice of Belle in Beauty and the Beast, will be in Epcot’s France Pavilion periodically through Monday, February 18 signing her artwork. Be sure to check the Times Guide for specific times for this special Meet and Greet.
The France Pavilion is preparing for the arrival of a Beauty and the Beast sing-along “soon” as well as a new Ratatouille ride that will open in 2021. These additions mean a lot of construction on the right side of and behind the pavilion.
The ride building for the Ratatouille Ride is not as massive as the Guardians of the Galaxy ride’s building, but we can’t wait for either rides’ arrival!
Epcot’s Skyliner Station at the International Gateway entrance area is preparing to open this fall!
There’s also construction on the World Showcase Lagoon’s islands to prepare for IllumiNations’ replacement coming this fall.
If you’re a fan of IllumiNations and want to send it out in style be sure to read about the IllumiNations dining package here!
What’s New in Epcot’s Shops and Stores — New Merchandise!
The limited edition “it’s a small world” MagicBand was in stock in Epcot, it was sold out when we visited Hollywood Studios this week.
There’s a special, new Sleeping Beauty Alex & Ani bracelet! Take a look, the charm is double-sided! See more photos of this special Sleeping Beauty Alex & Ani bracelet here!
If Disney World is pretty much your second home, or you wish it was, there’s a new line of Disney jewelry just for you!

As the Academy Awards show approaches you can wear your love of the nominated film, or the band Queen, on your shirt with these new Bohemian Rhapsody shirts in the UK Pavilion.

We’re missing the Flower and Garden festival by 2 days! ? I’m hoping to see some flowers and topiaries out before the festival start day. This will be our first time going to Epcot when the festival isn’t going! Glad to see I’ll be able to see the flowers around the lake at the very least.
