It’s time to celebrate Mardi Gras! And if you will be in Disneyland for the occasion, you’ll want to know about some limited time specialty menu options at a few of the park’s dining locations.
At Café Orleans, specialty items include the Potato Leek Soup or a Mardi Gras twist on the Monte Cristo Sandwich, which will be dusted with royal-colored sugar and served with maple syrup and bacon herb slaw.
Lemon Cake Roll-yal will present a sponge cake with lemon butter crème and royal-colored frosting.
The French Market will also serve a Mardi Gras Coconut Cake made with layers of royal-colored sponge cake and pastry cream dusted with coconut flakes.
Guests dining at Blue Bayou Restaurant can enjoy — in addition to the regular menu — a special Mardi Gras menu including Catch of the Day – Meagre with rainbow cauliflower, potato corn chowder, and cilantro purée and Royal Street Bundt Cake for dessert (pound cake with a pecan praline buttercream center and white chocolate mousse).

Cool! Are Mardi Gras menus new? I don’t remember MG being celebrated in New Orleans Square before. It’s a perfectly natural fit; maybe I’ve just never been in the Parks this time of year. I hope they also have more live music and at least once-daily little social club-type parade. How fun would that be?!
