A new option for the younger pirates among your crew will make its debut on April 28th when Captain Hook’s Pirate Crew sets sail at Disney World’s Beach Club Resort.
This new kids-only option at this Epcot-area resort will invite guests ages 4-12 to enjoy a boat ride around Crescent Lake while searching for treasure. Young pirates will have a chance to meet none other than Captain Hook and learn a “secret pirate handshake.”
The offering will take place from 5:00 – 8:30 PM and dinner will be included. The price for the event will be $55 per child ($58.58 with tax included), with full payment due at time of booking. Note that this event is not currently listed on the Disney World website; however, we were able to find the information and booking services by calling (407) 824-KIDS (5437).
We first learned about this new opportunity when a DFB reader informed us that they were suggested this offering as they were unable to book Pixar Play Zone at Disney’s Contemporary Resort during their stay.
While our call to Disney could not confirm that Pixar Play Zone will be closing, it is currently the case that hours of operation for Pixar Play Zone do not display (nor are they currently bookable) past March 30, 2019 on the Disney World website.
As always, stay tuned!

Do you know if there will be a photographer taking a few pictures of the kids during this experience? I’d love a few pics of my kids during this while we are off on our date night st Yachtsman 🙂

Bre, not sure. We’ll update if we find out!

I just called to book Pixar Play Zone and was told that they officially closed down Pixar Play Zone at the end of March with no plans of it opening again or getting a new theme. They too suggested this new Pirate Crew, but it’s not the same at all, and not for nearly as long. It’s hard to plan a night out without the kids in only three hours. Super bummed. My kids LOVED the Sandcastle Club and Lilo’s Playhouse before they were shut down, and thankfully loved the Pixar Play Zone as well. But this Pirate option doesn’t seem as much fun in my opinion. Hopefully the kids will love it anyway!

Yeah we are going to do dinner at the Yachtsman so we are close by during the Pirates Crew and still have a nice dinner 🙂
