Mickey’s 90th birthday celebrations continue in the Magic Kingdom with Mickey and Minnie’s Surprise Celebration. We spotted the return of the festive looking Mickey Confetti Pretzel on our visit to the park this week as well as new menu items, new merchandise, and construction updates.
Before you even enter the park you’ll find some ongoing construction at the park entrance area.
What’s New at the Magic Kingdom’s Entrance
We were able to get more pictures of the construction in progress outside the park at the entrance area. You can get good views into the site from the monorail.
No official announcements have been made about the construction.
What’s New in Magic Kingdom’s Adventureland
Tortuga Tavern is the new home to the Mickey Confetti Pretzel.
This sweet and savory treat made its debut in November as part of the celebrations for Mickey’s 90th birthday and quickly disappeared. Now it has returned to a new home and is part of Mickey and Minnie’s Surprise Celebration.
This is a Mickey pretzel dipped in marshmallow fluff and topped with confetti — making a very colorful and cheerful treat.
Adventureland’s Spring Roll Cart is home to a new House-made Philly Cheesesteak Spring Roll. Read our review of the Philly Cheesesteak Spring Roll here.
What’s New in Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland
Cool Ship has removed the bubbling Interstellar Punch and Super Lemonade drinks from their menu.
These two drinks originally joined the menu as Violet’s Force Field Punch and Dash’s Super Lemonade during last summer’s Incredible Summer Celebrations.
Auntie Gravity’s has a new Chocolate Milkshake on their menu — and don’t forget you can get the Adventure is Out There cone here as well!
Construction continues in Tomorrowland around the Tomorrowland Speedway on the addition of the new Tron attraction that will open in 2021.
Tomorrowland Speedway is temporarily closed while the new attraction’s construction nears the Tomorrowland Speedway track.
What’s New in Magic Kingdom’s Shops and Stores — New Merchandise!
Disneyland’s Happiest Place on Earth merchandise
has made it to Disney World. The Disney World version of the merchandise declares Disney World to be the Most Magical Place on Earth. We agree!
We love this double-sided mug with classic views of Cinderella Castle during the day and at night with fireworks in the background.
There are some new Disney Castle leggings in the shops around the parks and resorts.
We spotted some new Minnie Mouse ears that are similar to the Rock the Dots ears that came out earlier this year. This newer version is covered in pink and white dots instead of the multi-colored dots on the Rock the Dots ears.
The stores and shops are celebrating two new movies with some new merchandise. We spotted more Dumbo merchandise in Big Top Treats.
The live-action remake of Dumbo is “soaring” into theaters on March 29.
Captain Marvel just landed in theaters this weekend. If you are going to see the movie you can be the best dressed in this new Captain Marvel dress.
Loungefly is honoring Captain Marvel with a new backpack.
We visited the park on International Women’s Day. In honor of this special day Disney was hosting a Sisters Soiree Dance Party in Tomorrowland’s Rockettower Plaza Stage area that included appearances by Zootopia‘s Judy Hopps and Inside Out‘s Joy.
A special Strawberry Shortcake Shooter was also available at Cheshire Cafe and Gaston’s Tavern to celebrate the day.
