If you’re dining at Whispering Canyon Café in Disney World’s Wilderness Lodge, then you’ll find some more surprises in store than just the shenanigans of the servers…. just look on the MENU to see new all-you-care-to-enjoy Signature Skillets for lunch and dinner (with changes on the way to breakfast soon, too)!
While we’re no stranger to the All-You-Care-to-Enjoy Skillet at Whispering Canyon, you’ll now find twists on the tradition with some new varieties (alongside the traditional)!
Lunch Skillet
The Signature Lunch Skillet plates up maple-chipotle BBQ slow-smoked pork ribs, barbecued pulled pork, and citrus-herb chicken.
Dinner Skillets
The Traditional Dinner Skillet comes with oak-smoked mustard BBQ beef brisket, maple-chipotle BBQ pork ribs, slow-smoked pulled pork, western-style sausage, and citrus-herb chicken.
But new choices will include the “Pig” Dinner Skillet which serves up braised pork belly, maple-chipotle BBQ pork ribs, slow-smoked pulled pork, and mustard BBQ “piggy wings,” and western-style sausage.
The Land and Sea Dinner Skillet plates together house-smoked salmon, citrus herb chicken, vegan sausage, and charred portabellas.
And the Vegan Dinner Skillet is made up of maple-chipotle BBQ jackfruit, spicy vegan sausage, mustard-glazed beefless tips, and herb-brushed trick’n chick’n.
ALL of the skillets come with “a different assortment of sides that may include coleslaw, sautéed green beans, buttered corn, oven-roasted carrots, charred peppers, BBQ cauliflower, Yukon mashed potatoes, or roasted potatoes.” Fresh-baked cornbread with honey butter complete each skillet.
Drinks and Desserts
Other options to add to your lunch and dinner include Apple Pie served with vanilla ice cream.
Newly-themed cocktails include the Bourbon Cowboy garnished with apple slices.
Breakfast Skillets (Starting March 26th)
Starting on March 26th, new skillets will be part of the breakfast options, too!
The Heritage Skillet will be served with country potatoes, hickory-smoked bacon, and pork sausage links.
The Carnivore Skillet will include house-smoked ham, hickory-smoked bacon, pork sausage links, and oak-smoked beef brisket.
BOTH of the skillet options above will come with house-made buttermilk-cheddar biscuits, scrambled eggs, and Mickey Waffles!
The Lighter Side Breakfast Skillet will be made up of Bircher Muesli (Swiss oatmeal), egg white spinach frittata, turkey bacon and turkey sausage, country potatoes, fresh fruit, and yogurt. AND Mickey Waffles, too!
At this time, on the Disney World website, it does appear that a selection of regular (non-skillet) entrees are also available for lunch and dinner.
And for those curious about the signature, rootin’-tootin’ atmosphere that Whispering Canyon Café is known for, Disney assures: “And while you chow down on these signature skillets, our rowdy canyon townsfolk are here to serve you, and their boisterous goings-on aren’t going anywhere anytime soon”!

I’m so happy to see a menu change. My husband does not eat pork and so he never felt like the skillets were worth it and the standard menu is frankly uninspiring. This is our DVC home and we wanted to actually be able to eat at our own resort and this helps.

I am looking for an old Whispering Canyon dinner skillet menu to compare. I LOVE the old skillet and have some weird dietary restrictions. I know that I could have everything from the old one. What exactly is new? Thanks!
DFB Sarah says
Angela, the traditional platter is still on the menu, too, so if that one has worked for you in the past, it should still be fine. You’ll definitely want to speak to a chef to be absolutely sure, though.
Emily says
Hi! Do you know if we would be able to order the “dinner” (IE: Traditional or Land and Sea) skillets at lunch time? I just see the one on the lunch menu.
Alicia says
with the new menu of skillets if there are 6 of us, could we all order a different skillet (we are on the dining plan) or do we have to all order the same one?
DFB Sarah says
Alicia, everyone can order the skillet they want!
