The Orange County Register is reporting that Disneyland’s Tiki Juice Bar will soon conduct a test that will affect the way you get your Dole Whip.
According to the report, Disneyland officials have said that from March 28-30, Dole Whip items at the Tiki Juice Bar will be available to purchase ONLY by using Mobile Order — the option within the Disneyland app which allows guests to pre-order and pre-pay for their food at participating Counter Servicer restaurants around Disneyland Resort.
During the test, guests will still be able to purchase Dole Whip treats at The Tropical Hideaway without using Mobile Order. Guests using Mobile Order at the Tiki Juice Bar will receive help, if needed, from a Cast Member who will also direct guests making non-Mobile Order purchases to The Tropical Hideaway.
The OC Register also reports that: “To help reduce crowding, the Dole Whip stand in front of the Enchanted Tiki Room will be closed on busy days, with fans of the popular treat directed to the new stand in Tropical Hideaway.”

These testing initiatives stem from efforts to reduce congestion and crowding as Disneyland prepares for the May 31st opening of the highly-anticipated Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
