There has never been a shortage of chocolate twist pastries around Disney World and Disneyland parks. But we just got word that they unveiled an updated version at Animal Kingdom this week — right on the heels of the brand new chocolate donut holes that made their debut recently!
You can now get Chocolate Danish Twists, decorated with white chocolate stripes on them! Maybe we should call them Zebra twists??Thanks to Kelly S. for giving us a heads up on these babies at Isle of Java on Discovery Island in Animal Kingdom. You can load up on these and the new chocolate donut holes. Because why pick just one?
But don’t forget that the chocolate twist is no stranger to Animal Kingdom! Chocolate twists have previously been available at Kusafiri Bakery and a few other locations. (But the white chocolate stripe is an update!)
And, of course, at the Cheshire Cafe in Magic Kingdom you’ll find the fan-favorite Cheshire Cat Tail.
These Chocolate Danish Twists are decorated with those iconic pink and purple Cheshire Cat icing stripes.
Which Chocolate Twist is your favorite? Are you going to try the new Chocolate Twist in Animal Kingdom? Let us know in the comments!

Why isn’t it called a zebra tail!!
DFB Sarah says
Cait, what a missed opportunity. 😉
Rebecca says
These are remarkably similar to the pepitos you can get at French bakeries. There is an amazing boulangerie near me in Dallas that has, among other delights, pepitos, and it’s like a Cheshire cat tail without the icing. Sooooo yummy.
Ashley says
If I bought a chocolate twist or Cheshire cat tail before leaving the park, do you think it would go stale quickly? I’d like to eat one a quick breakfast at the hotel!
DFB Sarah says
Ashley, if you wrap it well with napkins (or bring along a storage bag!), it should be okay the next day!
