Are you ready for an adventure? Then join us for Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures at Napa Rose in Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel in Disneyland Resort!
From Thursdays through Mondays, guests at Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures enjoy a three-course breakfast along with interactions and photo ops with Disney Princesses, themed activities, and special take-home keepsakes for children.
We were invited to a Media Preview for this new experience, so we’d love to take you along!
A Scene Set for Royalty
Napa Rose is the home of Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures, which is designed to be a two-hour experience.
Your adventure begins in the Napa Rose Lounge where Rapunzel is there to greet you! (Note that character appearances, as always, are subject to change.)
The scene is further set with fun Rapunzel-themed Tic-Tac-Toe boards as you get ready to enter the restaurant.
There are more takeaway items to see (we’ll share them later), but amenity bags are given to the children before the meal because they contain an autograph book and pen to put to use right away!
And adults will want to know that one glass of champagne is included 🙂 .
You’ll have a chance to sign the Adventure Book, too.
Before you know it, it’s time to be escorted by your Adventure Guide to your table.
And while the setting is lovely, it is greatly enhanced by tableside visits throughout the meal from Disney Princesses!
The Royal Highnesses present in the restaurant included Ariel, Belle, Tiana, Jasmine, and Aurora. (By the way, I say “in the restaurant,” because there is still someone else to come, if you keep reading…)
Again, visits take place throughout the meal. We’ll share more about our time with the Princesses later in this post (because there is certainly more to come). But for now, it’s time to talk about…
Breakfast
The three-course breakfast includes Cold Starters, a buffet of hot Entrees, and Desserts. But before the courses begin, everything starts with a basket of breads.
They’re served with a jar of delicious lemon curd, and what a way to start! Monkey bread, a scone, and a sweet roll are delicious ways to begin.
They were all terrific, but here’s a tip: for sure go for that Monkey Bread when the basket arrives 😉 . Although it is pull-apart, so I guess you could share (or simply ask for more.. although you’ll want to save some serious room for what’s to come).
Juices, milk, tea, coffee, and soda are all included with the meal. And a list of Royal Morning Libations is also available, for extra purchase.
These include both alcoholic and non-alcoholic offerings, with alcoholic beverages ranging from $18-21, and non-alcoholic drinks from $7-8.
First Course
All of the Cold Starters to begin the meal are delivered to the table to share, so you don’t have to choose.
This glorious tower begins, from the top, with Banana Wraps in a crepe with Nutella served atop berry compote.
The open-faced Tangled Ham and Cheese Sandwich is completed with cranberry cream cheese and garnished with berries.
Mini Lobster Rolls are served on a thick brioche. (Your little Prince or Princess — or you! — may also receive Mini Hot Dogs upon request.)
The Magic Carpet Parfait is a chia pudding with mango, kiwi, and coconut, all topped with edible flowers.
And last, but certainly not least, are the Beignets.
And, yes, that’s just for starters…
Second Course
After you finish your starters, the second course is a buffet of hot entrée selections.
These include a mix of traditional breakfast items served alongside brunch-style offerings and fun goodies like House Made Mac & Cheese, and Mini Chicken & Mickey Waffles served with maple syrup butter!
And heads up on the Fried Chicken: they’re using the same spices here that the Plaza Inn uses for what is simply the best fried chicken in Disneyland. So… yum.
There’s plenty of “Perfect Scrambled Eggs” and bacon to be had. The name is in quotes as the proper name of the dish, but the eggs really are quite good!
And the thicker cut bacon is awesome.
Artisan Turkey Sausages are served with bits of pineapple for a nice sweet-meets-savory mix.
Roasted Tomato and Asparagus and Braised Short Rib are also among the offerings.
Pulled Barbecue Beef Sliders with BBQ sauce and pineapple salsa are served on Hawaiian buns.
Wonderfully fresh fruits and berries accompany the whole thing.
And how about some Artisan Butter to make everything extra fancy? Only the best for royalty!
There is one more item to mention. Though part of the second course, the Papas Bravas are brought to your table.
The seasoned French Fries are served with an absolutely delicious Romesco sauce (almond and bell pepper) and ketchup.
As you can tell, there’s LOTS to enjoy.
And it doesn’t disappoint. Simply put, the spread is impressive. But that’s not all…
Third Course
Like the first course, the third course of desserts is delivered to the table.
But! One thing needs to happen before you can dig in to these pretty treats…
The Fairy Godmother requested that our server give the desserts a little spell, by way of a sprinkling of edible gold glitter!
Pocahontas Peanut Butter Crunch tops off the dessert tray.
Royal Princess Cake Pops are all dressed up just like the Princesses! Ours were all chocolate flavor.
Belle’s Raspberry Bouquets are petite raspberry tarts.
Ariel Sea Shell macarons are filled with mango and passion fruit.
Mulan’s Firecracker Sorbet is a brightly flavored strawberry honey sorbet made with fresh strawberries & topped with cotton candy and Pop Rocks!
And after you dine?
More Princess Fun
Once your meal is complete, it’s time for some outdoor Princess fun! Activities include story time with everyone’s favorite bookworm, Belle.
And I told you there was another Princess on the way, didn’t I?
It’s time to learn a few warrior poses from Mulan!
During the entire experience, the interaction with the Princesses was remarkable. During both the meal and the outdoor portion, the Princesses really took their time and truly focused on the children, creating memorable moments throughout. Pocahontas was there too, but we didn’t have a chance to grab a photo of her.
Portrait Moment
After the outdoor portion, it’s time for a final moment with a Princess.
Ours was more time with Rapunzel, and guests receive a photo pass card for digital downloads of the pictures taken in this last moment.
Keepsakes
You have already seen the autograph book that the children receive.
And each child also chooses between the crown necklace or the shield and sword set pictured below.
The cinch sack you see above is also included, along with a box of Princess Truffles.
All in all, Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures is an event that is very well done. Great (and nicely themed) food, impeccable service, and quality time with the Disney Princesses (plus souvenirs for the kids, to boot) add up to a beautiful event and a truly memorable morning.
Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures takes place Thursday through Monday between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. The price is $125 per guest for both adults and children (tax and gratuity not included). Interested guests may book online or by calling (714) 781-DINE.

Shelby says
So if you’re an adult you don’t get any goodies? Other than a glass of champagne? I don’t drink. 🙁
Leah says
When I originally saw the price tag I was worried that it was overpriced. But after this review you definitely get your money’s worth. We rarely go out to Anaheim but we made have to budget this in on our next trip.
Jess says
This is how Cinderella’s Royal Table should be!
Debbie E says
Shelby, I feel the same way. As an adult growing up in Disney, I think we need a little magic for the adults other than champagne. I don’t drink either and I really don’t care for champagne.
Great idea Disneykand, but remember the kid in all of us, regardless of age.

I hope to be able to take my two older granddaughters here. It seems to be similar to the Snow White dinner at WDW but calmer and with less noise and hoopla. The “audience participation “ aspects were very intrusive. The Bon Voyage Breakfast was really nice.
Rose says
I also agree with Shelby! I don’t drink either but growing up Disney would LOVE to have goodies given, especially for the cost of the breakfast. I usually go to the park alone as my kids are adults but would l still enjoy this offering.
Eileen says
Most of the food looks marvelous, and I’m sure it’s great for the young ladies who will adore the princesses, but stay away from those gross “Perfect Scrambled Eggs”! Perfect for salmonella is what they are – barely cooked! I never eat buffet scrambled eggs for that reason.
KJ says
Wow, that is amazing! But I agree with the other posters, we as adults should be able to get a gift bag too. If you’re charging me $125, a glass of an alcoholic beverage that I don’t like isn’t gonna cut it.
Anna says
For a single adult who loves princesses, $125 gets you a meal, a glass of champagne, and 4 chocolates? At least have a several Photopass roam with the princesses, or even outside, and give the adults an autograph book or something equivalent – that’s not edible – and some jewelry too. Come on, Disneyland. You’re better than this.
Amanda says
Is there a charge for parking at Napa Rose if you’re attending this event?
Rachel says
My daughter is 10 so technically a Disney adult by price but actually still a child. Would she get the autograph book and extras that the other kids would be receiving?
DFB Sarah says
Amanda, this is the official statement from Disney: “Includes 5 hours of complimentary valet parking with validation at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa”
Rob says
Food certainly looks amazing, not sure how much of any of it our daughter would eat. Glad we did it back in the Ariel’s grotto era (for a lot less money, albeit without the swag bag at the end).
classic casual home says
This looks so amazingly well thought out and delicious. Yes, it is a big splurge but the food and entertainment look top notch for the memory of a lifetime.
A.M. says
They went all out for the media – but not for us regular folk. We only saw 5 princesses, no princess greeting upon arrival, no champagne, and no name cards. Burgers, fries, fruit salad for $125 a person – big waste of money!!!
Teresa says
Was so very disappointing. Only 3 princesses, no story time, only some food items were good and, no champagne. Will not do again. Shame on Disney.
melissa neufeld says
Does it matter what time of year you go for the amount of princesses? I am going in February 2020 so i know its “off season”
Also, what about the kids under 3 who are free? my daughter will be 2.5 when we go and is free but will she receive any goodies like her big sister? I can only imagine how upset she will be if she doesnt get anything. Can we request them at an additional charge? (even though both parents are also paying this price..)
DFB Sarah says
Melissa, we would expect you’ll see the same/similar number of princesses, despite being off-season. As for your youngest kiddo, we’d expect they would give her a bag, but if not, you can ask! Perhaps they’d charge you something for it, but I imagine they’d ‘gift’ it. If you want to confirm, try calling the restaurant.
Amanda says
My daughter was under three but we were told to get the gift bag we needed to pay for her. Also many of the treats are in the exact number of paid seats-there’s obviously plenty of food, but if she will want all the same things her sister plan accordingly.
I agree with some of the other comments, we did not get a story time (it was actually rushed). The buffet food was the same as most of the other buffets with tempura shrimp possibly as the exception. We did get champagne and five princesses. The “truffles” are white chocolate oreos-and only our daughter got those as well.
We were short on time so this was nice to see many princesses at one stop AND the book and pen are lovely. But I wouldn’t do it again.
Patricia Garcia says
Can you sign yourself up as a child so you get the items? I see that they prices are the same so can their be an exception for adults who want those items. I am ok without champagne I want the goodies! Does anyone know if this is possible?
