Spring Break is in full swing and the parks are CROWDED this week!
We braved the masses to bring you all the updates from Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom including new snacks, new merch plus some construction news!
Castle Construction and Dumbo Themed Treats!
The moat around Cinderella Castle is still empty as the project to widen the pathway from Liberty Square to Fantasyland gets underway.
We spotted some construction work areas popping up along the pathway from Sleepy Hollow, but overall this shouldn’t affect your trip to the park — you can still grab those castle photos further down Main Street ????.
Over in Storybook Circus, Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak has reopened!
This kids splash area has finished its refurbishment just in time for warm weather and big crowds. Be sure to bring an extra set of dry clothes for your kiddos because they’ll definitely want to take a break here!
Next door at Big Top Treats, we found a couple of NEW Dumbo themed treats available — including this crazy cute Dumbo cookie!
Also fitting in with the circus theme are the classic haystacks.
But, if you’re a caramel apple lover, you’ve got to grab one of these adorable Popcorn Caramel Apples!
Find out if this caramel apple tastes as good as it looks here!
If you’re lucky you might also find a Dumbo cupcake at Big Top Treats, but it was sold out during our visit ????.
MORE Construction and Mini Treats!
Construction is on-going over in Tomorrowland as progress continues on the Tron Attraction. Unlike the draining of the moat, this construction will have some impact of your visit to Magic Kingdom — you can read all about which rides are currently closed due to construction here.
Over at Joffrey’s Revive, we spotted one of our favorite new mini treats — Mini Donuts!
We first found these at Disney Springs — you can check out our original review here. (Spoiler alert: they’re delicious!)
You can grab 4 of these bite-sized treats for $4.99 or a snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan! Find out which flavors were available during our trip to the Magic Kingdom here!
NEW Merchandise!
At Agrabah Bazaar in Magic Kingdom’s Adventureland we spotted a TON of new merch!
This Stitch ‘Ohana mug is just begging to join your mug collection!
Is Moana more your style? Check out this super cute Pua mug…
And be sure to grab this Pua pillow to go along with it!
This pineapple purse is also new to the Adventureland merch line up.
If you’re looking to rep your favorite tropical hideaway, why not grab this new Enchanted Tiki Room inspired hat or shirt?
On our visit this week, we also spotted the Minnie Mouse Oh So Fashionable Accessory Sets!
There’s two sets to choose from…
And these #trendy accessory sets come with their own Minnie themed hashtags, so you can share your #MinnieGram with the world!
If you wanna make it known that you’re here to relax and have fun, be sure to grab this awesome iridescent Vacation Mode Hat!
And finally, the latest must-have Ears…or rather, horns in this case — The Sulley Headband!
That wraps up our tour of all things new at Magic Kingdom this week! Can’t get enough of our weekly Disney Parks coverage?! Check out “What’s New” at Epcot this week here!

Hi, AJ:
Just one correction! The fun runs at the resorts are not 5Ks! You mentioned “5K races”, but they are much shorter–generally about 1-2 miles.
Mango says
Its Cinderella Castle, not Cinderella’s. I would think you bloggers should know this.

Thanks, Lisa!

I am loving the Tiki room hat!!! Do you know the price by any chance? I’ve never bought a Disney hat so I don’t even know a ballpark price.
DFB Sarah says
Katie, they typically run between $20-30. I’ll double check with the team member on the ground and update if she knows!
