There’s been a lot of talk about straws as of late, as Disney continues efforts towards reducing single-use plastics in the company’s destinations around the globe. Plastic straws have been replaced with paper straws in several restaurants and snack kiosks in both Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
But La Cava del Tequila in Epcot’s Mexico Pavilion has debuted a non-plastic straw that — at this time — is unique to the location, as far as Disney World restaurants go.
It’s the Agave Straw!
Though the agave straws are not edible, they are biodegradable. La Cava del Tequila shared the scoop on their Instagram, stating that while they encourage guests to drink their margaritas without a straw (to get the full effect of the salt rims) they will now provide the new agave straws for guests who prefer to use them, along with a bit of info.
And, in fact, we enjoyed putting one to use just yesterday…

As always, Cheers from La Cava!
