Magic Kingdom can be a bit overwhelming at times. You want to be sure to make the most of your experience, to have a good time, and to create lasting memories.
A fun way to accomplish all three of these things at once is by taking Magic Shot photos throughout the park!
Disney PhotoPass photographers are usually sprinkled throughout the parks and — based on their locations — they may have unique Magic Shot opportunities.
A Magic Shot is when Disney adds a little bit of pixie dust to your photo. This may mean that Peter Pan will be flying overhead or that Stitch will appear next to you eating an ice cream cone. Disney changes their Magic Shot options pretty frequently, and they have released information on their current favorite Magic Shots at Magic Kingdom.
The first Magic Shot is located at Magic Kingdom’s main entrance. It features Peter Pan flying overhead!
Ooo this photo makes us want a Premium Mickey Ice Cream Bar SO badly. And did you spot the dripping hidden Mickey? This perfect castle photo can also be taken on Main Street U.S.A.
This Magic Shot can be taken on Main Street U.S.A. It looks like Mickey is holding a Polaroid of the family, such a cute keepsake!
This Magic Shot features a few of our beloved Muppets friends. You can take this photo on Main Street U.S.A.
Have you ever wanted wings like Tink? I know I have. Well, guess what… you can get your very own pair by taking this photo in Fantasyland.
Doesn’t Stitch look so cute and…hungry? We think this is a really fun photo for the kiddos. You can take this photo on the bridge leading to Tomorrowland!
Pascal is one of our favorite favorite Disney side-kicks, so this one makes me really excited! This photo featuring Pascal can be taken in Fantasyland.
The Haunted Mansion has received a lot of buzz lately after Disney announced that the ride now features an on-ride photo. But, Disney doesn’t stop there when it comes to spooky Haunted Mansion photos. After exiting the ride, guests can take a Hitchhiking Ghost Magic Shot!
Look at this little sweetie! You and your little ones can take this adorable photo with Sebastian from The Little Mermaid near Prince Eric’s Castle!
In front of Beast’s Castle (Be Our Guest Restaurant) families can take a Magic Shot photo with Lumiere. Isn’t it a great family photo? We sure do think so!
As always, if you want a Magic Shot taken, just ask the Disney PhotoPass Photographer. Sometimes they will offer, other times they will not. So, just make sure to ask!
Also, if you plan on taking a large number of photos while on your Disney vacation, you may want to look into the Memory Maker. This is a ticket add-on that grants you unlimited picture downloads. The cost is $169 if you purchase the Memory Maker in advance.
What is your favorite Disney Magic Shot? Let us know in the comments below!

Do you know how long the memory maker lasts? Is it one day only? We will be there for 4 days, will I be able to have the pictures from all 4 day for the $169 ?
DFB Sarah says
Patricia, if you purchase the Memory Maker, you’ll have access to photos taken throughout your entire vacation, not just one day! Here’s Disney’s official page in case you have more questions.
Kim says
Yes, please. Would love a list of all the magic shots at all the parks/locations.
Amy says
Do you have a PDF of this list to download?
DFB Sarah says
Amy, I’m not sure. Here’s our page of PDFs — hopefully it’s there for you!
