Welcome back to Disneyland Resort for another What’s New! We’re bringing you some construction updates, a fun new plush, and a fun return donut!
Pixar Pals Parking Structure
The Pixar Pals Parking Structure is still a work in progress, but some hard surfaces are going down on the space around it. The structure is expected to open this summer.
This angle gives you an idea of the proximity to the Mickey and Friends structure.
Trees are in for this area at the base of the structure, too. Still a long way to go, but it’s fun to watch the progress.
Downtown Disney Updates
Pop-Up Disney! A Mickey Celebration
is coming along in Downtown Disney. This interactive exhibit of Mickey and Minnie scenes opens soon, and we gave you a sneak peek! Click here to see the merchandise coming to Pop-Up Disney!
Our team is actually at the Pop-Up today, so stay tuned for a full review!
This is the old ESPN Zone, so colorful Mickey and Minnie art is going up over the athletes that used to grace the exterior of the building.
Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes is getting its exterior signage, too. (Note that this was originally called Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer, but the updated name reflects the restaurant’s reputation for the Crazy Shake.)
And over at Disney Home, they’ve got some cute Hydration Stations for our four-legged friends!
This Minnie bow mat is super cute.
And the Mickey bone’s fun, too!
Disneyland Park Updates
In Disneyland Park, Tropical Hideaway‘s Rosita is under wraps. Here she is on the spot’s opening day.
And here’s the same spot on our visit. Super adorable little cover, right?
Over in Toon Town, the fountain is behind construction walls. We’ll take a look when it reopens.
And in Tomorrowland, Alien Pizza Planet is undergoing some exterior work. The restaurant is still open, and you can see seating has been arranged along the wall.
Disney California Adventure Park Updates
In Disney California Adventure Park, there’s an interesting box near Guardians. No word on its purpose, but we’ll keep an eye on it.
And we got a bird’s-eye view of Bing Bong’s Emotional Whirl Wind from the Incredicoaster.
We can’t wait to explore this area and get emotional on the ride!
The Silly Symphony Swings are under construction. They’re expected to reopen in late-May.
Eggstravaganza 2019
The Eggstravaganza is wrapping up at Disneyland Resort. We spotted a few more eggs on our walk. Mr. Toad is in Tomorrowland.
Minnie is taking in the view on Buena Vista Street.
And Daisy was greeting riders at ‘it’s a small world’.
Disneyland Resort Dining Update
We don’t know about you, but we’re hungry. Jolly Holiday Bakery has brought the Chocolate Chip Cookie donut back.
It’s gorgeous in a cookies-chopped-up-and-put-on-a-donut kind of way (but we love that sort of thing).
This is a yeast donut with white glaze, mini chocolate chips, and, of course, the cookies.
Over at the Grand Californian Hotel and Spa, White Water Snacks has a new addition.
Can you spot them there in the middle?
Corn Dog Nuggets! We need these. And, if possible, some plastic cheese for dunking. (Ask if you want some — they’ve got it on hand for nachos!)
Disneyland Resort Merchandise
In Disneyland merchandise news, we found this Luxo Ball plush. It’s… awesome.
So playful! So fun! So squishy!
We played with this one at Bing Bong’s Sweet Shop, but it’s also at Knick Knacks.
And that’s it! Thanks for joining us on another stroll through Disneyland Resort. And now: a moment of zen on Pixar Pier!
Yeah, we needed that. 😉

Less on the non-food things would be great!! This is the DIS FOOD BLOG after all! 🙂 Sites covering construction are a dime a dozen, but the food coverage here is always top notch, would love to see a stronger focus on just the food!
DFB Sarah says
Tina, thanks for the feedback! 🙂
Patricia says
I appreciate all of your updates (including non-food) so please keep doing them. I think you still do have an emphasis on food, but it’s great to be able to go to one website for all Disney updates. Thanks for all your hard work!
Donna says
I enjoy all of your posts – food, construction, rides, shopping. You do a great job.
Nancy says
I agree 100% with Tina. Ever since the non-food content expanded, I find myself spending less time here. It’s just not worth it having to wade through all the non-food content any more.
DFB Sarah says
Thanks for reading, Donna! 🙂

Thank you, Patricia!

I get all the information I need on this site, so I don’t have to keep up with 9754 different blogs. Thank you so much for every kind of update and for all the time and effort you guys put in. <3
