is located on the West Side of Disney Springs. Owned by Gloria and Emilio Estefan, the restaurant presents authentic Cuban cuisine and live music to guests.
And even if you’ve never entered the lively restaurant, you would likely recognize the signature gigantic pineapple that has provided a West Side landmark over the years.
But this longtime Disney Springs dining spot will be closing in August 2019.
At this time, it is not known what will be taking the place of Bongos in Disney Springs, but that’s not the end of the Estefans in central Florida. According to the Orlando Sentinel, Estefan Kitchen will be opening at the Margaritaville Orlando Resort.
According to the Estafans and the Sentinel, the Estefans would like to include a nightclub as they believe that’s “part of the latino experience.”

My husband and I ate there on our honeymoon. We had such a great time and ate this giant paella for 2 (honestly, it could have fed 4…). The food was delicious, the service was so friendly, and the atmosphere was fun! I’m sad to see it go, but am sure Disney will find something great to replace it with!

Always one of our favorite restaurants. It was the first place we headed while in Disney Springs. I remember our first visit with young children–I was not sure how they would react to the different flavors/foods. They LOVED it. Really sad to see it go-lots of happy memories there.

I have a reservation in place for September 22nd 2019! I hadn’t no idea this place was closing. I’ve had no email or notification from Disney at all regarding my ADR…

I also have reservations in September and have no received any kind of notification of it’s closing. Weird. Well, making back up reservations somewhere else!

What happened to all the tile work on walls and bar also all equipment, furnishings and art work. It’s truly a shame if it was all demolished.
