Hello from the Magic Kingdom! We had a sweet time in the park this week as we found new eats, a ton of new Aladdin-inspired merchandise, and caught up on the construction in park (including an area getting a new paint job)!
We started our visit by saying “Hello!” to Friar Tuck and Prince John from Robin Hood.
The pair are making appearances every now and then in Magic Kingdom as part of Mickey & Minnie’s Surprise Celebration, so keep an eye out!
What’s New on Magic Kingdom’s Main Street, U.S.A.
Tony’s Town Square has been tinkering with their menu
by adding Garlic Parmesan Wings and changing up the sauce for the House-made Gnocchi Primavera, which now comes with a Sun-Dried Tomato Pesto instead of a Basil Pesto. We also spotted the removal of the Pasta Fagioli as well as some updates to the wine list.
The following wines have been removed from the menu: Inama Vin Soave Classico, Antinori Bramito del Cervo Chardonnay, Caparzo Brunello di Montalcino, G.D. Vajra Barolo, and Moretti “La Rossa” Doppelbock.
Casey’s Corner has removed the foot-long hot dog option from their menu (don’t worry, they are at Cosmic Ray’s if you’re craving a foot long). On our visit they did still offer the specialty hot dog with hash browns through Mobile Order, but there were no signs for the specialty dog in the restaurant.
Oh boy, we found a new treat at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor! Take a look at the Dulce de Leche Brownie Sundae — read our review here!
What’s New in Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland
A new sundae has arrived in Storybook Treats
as a new addition to Mickey and Minnie’s Surprise Celebration. Read our review of Minnie’s Cookie Dough Sundae here.
There are some changes at Friar’s Nook. The Fried Twinkies, Creamy Bacon Tots, Fiesta Mac and Cheese, and Loaded Fiesta Tots are no longer on the menu here.
Do you love caramel AND all things Rapunzel? Then there’s an eclair for you at Pinocchio Village Haus! Check out the Tangled Wall Eclair and read our review here.
We spotted some other menu updates at Pinocchio’s as well. There’s a new Chocolate Gelato on the menu, but the Italian Cream Cake and No-Sugar-Added Lemon Sorbet have been removed. (A cast member did say guests can still order the Lemon Sorbet “for now”.) In addition, Chicken Nuggets are only available in an eight piece option again as the option for six or 10 pieces has been removed, as well as the option for butter on for the kiddos pasta. The only pasta sauce listed for kiddos is marinara.
What’s New in Magic Kingdom’s Frontierland
Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Café
is now serving the Tortilla Chips and Queso Dip as one item instead of two separate items. You’ll also find a 3-pack of Cuties mandarins on the menu here as a side option.
If you have a craving for a Turkey Leg head over to Golden Oak Outpost for one, and follow it up with a birthday cake Mickey Push Pop!
What’s New in Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Square
The seating area for Sleepy Hollow is currently closed while work continues on Cinderella Castle’s pathway.
You will find some seating behind the Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe for now.
The entire pathway connecting Liberty Square to Fanstasyland is closed as work continues in this area.
A timeline has not been announced for this project.
What’s New in Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland
Bring your sweet tooth to Magic Kingdom — because GIANT DONUTS have arrived at The Lunching Pad! Check this Giant Mickey Donut out and read our review here.
Cosmic Ray’s has welcomed Casey’s foot-long hot dog to their menu. To make room for the foot-long, the Barbecue Pork Sandwich was removed.
Cast members were out and about testing the Tomorrowland Speedway cars on the temporarily closed attraction –– plus it looks like some of those cars are wearing a fresh coat of paint. Read about this attraction’s possible re-opening date here.
We can see more signs of the progress on the addition of the Tron attraction slated for a 2021 opening.
Learn more about this new attraction here.
Various locations in Tomorrowland have been getting a fresh coat of paint — can we say there are new Instagram walls in our future?
Which new color is your favorite so far?
Do you see any of these becoming the next Purple Wall?
What’s New in Magic Kingdom’s Shops and Stores — New Merchandise!
Aladdin-inspired merchandise is taking over the parks!
In addition to spotting the magic carpet beach towel, genie lamp tea set, amazing and limited edition Jasmine costume, magic carpet keychain, Danielle Nicole magic carpet purse, Will Smith as Genie shirt, and pretty amazing Rajah jacket in Magic Kingdom as well as Epcot and Disneyland we found EVEN MORE merchandise!
Which Funko POP! will you choose?
Is there an awesome kiddo in your life that will be receiving this very modest Genie shirt? Or for the pin collector, there’s a pin to add to your lanyard featuring the Genie.
If the limited edition Jasmine costume isn’t your kiddo’s cup of tea, there’s a Disney Princess costume as well as tiara and accessory for your little one.
This is a new dress from the live-action film. We’re loving the color and detail on this dress!
If the animated classic is your favorite, there’s a new MagicBand starring non other than the Genie himself.
See the Aladdin merchandise we found in the Magic Kingdom as well as Epcot and Disneyland here!
We spotted the must-have Up Grape Soda Purse in the Magic Kingdom’s Uptown Jewelers this week! Read more about this purse here.
You can protect your phone with this new Tiki Room phone case! How awesome is this?
