is a feature available within the My Disney Experience app which allows guests to pre-order and pre-pay for their food at participating Counter Service Restaurants around Disney World. Upon arrival to the restaurant, guests using Mobile Order can then bypass the ordering queue and go straight to a designated Pick Up Counter to get their food.
Since its introduction to Disney World in 2017, many guests have found it to be a great time saver. With a few exceptions, Mobile Order has been primarily offered in the four Disney World theme parks.
But Disney has just announced that Mobile Order will be expanding to select Disney World Resort hotels!
Disney has announced that locations which will begin to utilize Mobile Order will include Everything POP Shopping & Dining at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, The Mara at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and Contempo Café at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Disney shares that these locations will begin to offer the service “over the coming months.”

I love that they’re expanding Mobile Order, but I am annoyed that they have STILL not made it so you can link a gift card to the app. I’ve emailed them multiple times expressing the frustration I have that I got a gift card from my mother-in-law and I can’t use it in Mobile Ordering. My choices are pay for my own meal or wait in long lines. This is simply inexcusable for a guest services corporation as big and technologically advanced as Disney. We need LOTS of people to get in touch with them and ask for the update! The more of us who make this complaint/suggestion, the more likely they’ll move on it soon. [email protected]

I really hope they introduce mobile order at port Orleans French quarter before my trip next year

I was only able to use Mobile Order twice on my trip last week, but it saved me so much time! A couple times I really wanted to use it, but they weren’t on the list. Glad to hear they’re adding to the list.

Aloha isle has long lines for mobile order and regular line. Is one really better than the other?

I hope the mobile order expands to the poly for our trip fall of 2020! Any rumblings of where mobile food order will be expanding to next?!

Mandy, none that I know of! We’ll keep reporting as soon as we hear!

You know, Mandy, it can be hit or miss when it’s really busy. We have had great luck with Mobile Order at Aloha Isle, but we have heard from readers who waited a long time in that MO line. I say it’s worth a try, though.
