Curious as to what you’ll find when you step inside Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities in Black Spire Outpost?
Then join us as we explore the artifacts, relics, ancient tools, and more that are tucked into each and every corner and crevice of Dok-Ondar’s Den in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!
The Ithorian, with his reputation as the “gatekeeper” of the black market in the Outpost, has packed his den with items of mystery and intrigue.
Is it a jewel you seek? A statue of one of the characters whose stories you’ve heard in the legends of the galaxy?
A lightsaber? One of the rare kyber crystals? Or perhaps an item that once belonged to a Jedi or Sith?
Well, it’s quite possible that you’ll find what you’re searching for somewhere in Dok-Ondar’s collection. (How his collection was amassed? Well, those are tales Dok keeps to himself.)
Of course, you’ll need to set aside some time to explore the location and pick out your galactic goodies first…
The circular, two story setting is revealed after you enter an automatic door and choose whether to go left or right around the wall that first faces you.
The downstairs area provides the shopping space.
While the upstairs is lined with creature taxidermy and other-worldly knick-knacks.
In fact, the Arc of the Covenant is up there, too, I’ve heard tell.
All the while, Dok-Ondar sits in the corner at his desk. And while the bars might indicate that he keeps to himself, that’s not actually the case.
When Dok-Ondar gets upset, you’ll know it, because you’ll hear and see him.
That said, can you interact with him? Not so much. Though Dok-Ondar is known for driving a hard bargain, we didn’t have any success bartering with him. Based on what Disney had originally shared, we thought you could almost converse like a “Turtle Talk with Crush” situation, but it’s not. It’s more like you can chat with the Cast Member stationed near Dok-Ondar.
But overall, the store is still way cool.
And at Star Wars Celebration Chicago, Disney Imagineers shared that no matter which Star Wars era most speaks to you, you’re more than likely to spy an Easter egg or two — or more — in honor of it throughout the shop, so keep your eyes peeled for more than just the shop’s stock for sale!
Antiquities
And now, as for Dok-Ondar’s famed antiquities…
The merchandise sold here is primarily high-end. (Basically, be prepared for some sticker shock from Dok). For just a few examples…
While this shop isn’t an outfitter, per se, you will see items like Jedi robes and even Princess Leia’s white outfit for around $200.00.
These are no mere toys. From wall art to statues of Sith and Jedi, you will likely find a tribute to those you’ve heard about in the legends of the galaxy… from both the Light and the Dark Side.
And there’s more everywhere you turn inside the Den.
Legacy Lightsabers
The lightsabers here are not customizable, as are the lightsabers you can build at Savi’s Workshop.
However, if you dream of carrying a pair of Ahsoka Tano’s lightsabers or that of another Star Wars character (Kylo Ren, Darth Maul, Darth Vader, Mace Windu, and each of Luke Skywalker’s lightsabers among them), you may find it here among the collection of Legacy Lightsabers!
You can also pick up accessories for your chosen Lightsaber including carrier bags, belt clips, and display cases.
Holocrons
The Den is also where you’ll find the Holocrons perched on the opposite side of the wall which you faced upon entering.
You may choose a Jedi Holocron cube or a Sith Holocron pyramid.
Fun feature: if you choose to put both together, you’ll hear from both sides as they battle, and even hear from Bendu. (“The light and the dark. I’m the one in the middle. The Bendu.“)
From the Holocrons, you’ll hear voices speaking the ancient wisdom and history of the Force, or messages of the power of the Dark Side, accordingly.
And those voices are ones you already know. For instance, I purchased a Jedi Holocron. On its own, it is $50.00 (as are the Sith pyramids) and comes with a USB charging cord.
The blue Holocron as it comes on its own presents the voice of Master Obi-Wan Kenobi — “Trust in the Force” — when you turn the corners of the cube and press on the designated areas.
You’ll hear advice or encouragement such as, “We must persevere and, in time, a new hope will emerge.”
BUT! Perhaps you’d like your Holocron to share messages from other Jedi Masters, like Master Yoda. Well, you can purchase kyber crystals to insert inside the Holocron ($12.99 per kyber crystal).
If you purchase and insert the green kyber crystal, for example…
… you’ll hear messages from Yoda while the Holocron emits a new, green glow.
White, purple, blue, yellow, and red are your other color choices.
Here is my honest impression of my Holocron: it’s cool looking, and the voices and sounds are great.
That said, mine doesn’t offer me an abundance of messages. It’s pretty repetitive. And the item itself doesn’t feel very sturdy — if it’s not handled gently, I have to wonder how long it will last.
So, unless your kid seriously can’t make it without one (and they WILL want one because — let’s face it — they do look cool), I can’t say it’s worth the $50.00 price tag. Still, serious Star Wars collectors are going to have a BLAST.
Galaxy’s Edge Reusable Bags
Remember, no matter what you purchase, you also have the option to buy a reusable bag.
How cool will you feel using THIS as your grocery bag back on earth (it’s exclusive to Galaxy’s Edge!)?
Dok-Ondar himself welcomes you (well, in his own way 😉 ) to explore the treasure troves of his Den of Antiquities! The question is: what are YOU hoping to find inside?

BigD says
Do the sabers come with blades or are they just the hilts?
DFB Sarah says
BigD, you get the hilt, the blade, a Kyber Crystal, and a carrying case (sort of like a samurai sling). Additional Kyber Crystals and accessories are available a Dok-Ondar’s.
BigD says
I’m sorry, I wasn’t clear enough. I meant the prefab hilts in the case at the shop (Vader’s, Luke’s, Obi-Wan’s, etc.), not the build it yourself sabers.
DFB Sarah says
BigD, that’s my mistake; conflated the merchandise! I’m going to look into this to be sure. At first glance, I’m thinking they do NOT come with a blade. The blades guests receive with the Build Your Own Lightsabers at Savi’s fit into the Legacy hilts, but I want to confirm that they don’t come with a blade on their own.

I keep coming back to this article again and again every time I think of something else!
I do have two additional questions :
1) Do the holocrons come pre-loaded with kyber crystals (assumedly blue for Jedi, red for Sith)?
2) How much are the reusable SWGE bags? They look awesome!
Thanks again for the great article!
Jay says
Thanks for this article, it’s great! I keep coming back to reference it over and over!
I have two quick questions:
1) Do the holocrons come with kyber crystals already inside (assumedly blue for Jedi and red for Sith)?
2) How much is the reusable bag? It looks great!
Thanks again!
Maddie says
I’ve seen a few people with X-Wing Pilot Flight Suits, did you see those available and would you know the price? Thank you!
Tyler says
Does anyone know it the Darth maul saber comes with the connector piece or you have to it separately? And if you can make a saber at Savi’s workshop to connect with one of them
DFB Sarah says
Tyler, we’re still trying to confirm this. I’ll update when we do!
DFB Sarah says
Maddie, they’re available at Resistance Supply. We didn’t catch the price. I’ll see if we can find out!
DFB Sarah says
Jay, the reusable bags are priced on par with the rest of Disneyland resort — so the size we showed is the medium for $1.50. As for the Holocron: it comes without a crystal; it’s just programmed with the blue light and Obi-Wan’s voice. But if you buy an additional Kyber Crystal (for $14.99, I believe), you can use it in the Holocron and in the lightsaber you build in Savi’s Workshop.
Tyler says
Ok, thank you. My family is going next year and I am trying to figure out if I just get a custom i get a custom and Darth mauls
DFB Sarah says
BigD and those wondering about the legacy hilts: the hilts do not come with a blade, but the shop DOES sell blades separately. And the blades received in the Savi’s Workshop Build-Your-Own Lightsaber experience also fit the legacy hilts. I hope this helps!
Tyler says
Has anyone figured out if the Darth Maul legacy saber include the connector piece you need to connect the two or is it something you have to buy separately and if one can make a custom saber that can connect to it?
DFB Sarah says
Tyler, the hilt does not come with a blade, but Dok-Ondar’s DOES have blades available for purchase.
MATT says
Does anyone know if you are able to use the crystals with the legacy lightsabers?
Edo says
Can use kyber crystal in legacy Lightsaber?
Tyler says
DFBSarah that is not what i mean. I watch several youtubers who went there opening week and the darth Maul legacy saber is only half of his saber so you have to buy two so one can complete his saber and there is a connection peice and i am wondering if you have to buy it seperately and if the custom sabers from savi’s workshop can also connect with it.
DFB Sarah says
Tyler, sorry about that. After I responded, I did get to thinking about your question. There’s a coupler in the box with each half of the Darth Maul legacy lightsaber. (You’ll only need one to connect the hilts, but you should receive one in each box.) I do not know for sure that the custom hilts at Savi’s connect. To couple them, you remove the end cap from the hilt and screw on the coupler. Savi’s hilts also have an end cap that screws on over the end of the hilt, so I would guess yes. You might want to ask at Savi’s or Dok Ondar’s, though, to confirm.
Tyler says
ok thank you.
Nytshaed says
What are the other sounds/Characters that are associated with the other Kyber Crystal colors for the Holochron?
Green: Yoda
White: ?
Red: ?
Blue: ?
Purple: ?
Yellow:?
Thanks!
DFB Sarah says
Nytshaed, each Kyber Crystal can generate one or more voices/expressions. We’ve heard Darth Maul, Yoda, Obi-Wan (standard in the Jedi Holocron), and others.
Ted Melchers says
Does anyone know the price of the blades for purchase at Dok-Ondar’s if I purchase a legacy lightsaber and wanted to complete the ensemble? And does the blade come with a case?
Also do we know if you can use kyber crystals with the legacy lightsabers?
DFB Sarah says
Ted, all good questions. The blades are, I believe, $50. A legacy lightsaber comes in a sturdy case, but I don’t know about a case/box for the blade. Dok-Ondar’s does sell a sturdy sheath for $50. As for the Kyber Crystals in legacy hilts, I don’t see this information online, and we didn’t find out when we were there. We’ll see what we can find out!
Ted Melchers says
Thanks for the feedback!
Buck says
Do the legacy Sabres have sound and light or just for show?
DFB Sarah says
Buck, when the blades are attached, the legacy lightsabers do light up and make sounds. They have a battery pack in the hilt just like the Build Your Own option at Savi’s.
Alan says
Does anyone know if Dok-Ondar’s will be able to ship purchased items for you? I want a lot of stuff but getting it all home will be an issue.
Alan says
I want quite a few items but I worry about being able to get them back home. Does anyone know if Dok-Ondar’s will purchased items for you?
Carlos says
The Legacy sabers do not come with a blade, but Doc Ondar sells two blade sizes. The 36′ is $50 and the 26′ is $45. The custom sabers come with a 31′ blade that I don’t believe is sold separately.
The kyber crystals only work in the custom sabers and not the legacy.
Each saber takes 3 AAA batteries and are included with purchase.
If you want to do the custom sabers, go there immediately on arrival. Each building session is 20-30 minutes and has a maximum capacity of 14 builders. Builders can (and should to take pictures) bring a guest to watch. With such a low capacity, reservations go very quickly. When I went, all saber building reservation slots were taken in less than 8 minutes after we were let in to Galaxy’s Edge.
DFB Sarah says
Thanks, Carlos!
Tyler says
Does anyone know if it is possible to get a legacy lightsaber from the disney store because I sadlunwont be going for another year and I wanted to get one.
wesley takahashi says
Are the display stand for the Legacy Lightsaber available for purchase?
DFB Sarah says
Wesley, not that we know of. If I find out differently, I’ll update!
Arab_money says
Is there a limit of sabers that can be bought at once? I.E two sabers per customer.
DFB Sarah says
Arab_money: good question. The space you’re allotted in the experience is only room for one lightsaber. However, you can buy more hilt parts (called “scrap metal”). You might want to talk to the cast members when you check in to see if you can buy multiple full lightsabers and then just do the build experience for one of them.
Arlene says
Any baby yodas ?
Noah Wiseman says
I am here to suggest some legacy lightsaber ideas for you I hope you take them into consideration
Ahsoka Tano (Clone Wars) any fan of the clone wars tv show will adore these and with them returning for season 7 of the show with blue blades rather than the typical green/yellow you could have a switch on the sabers to allow customers to switch between the colors of either blue or green/yellow
Kanan Jarrus this lightsaber was very cool in Star Wars Rebels and would be interesting to have it would also make sense with the lore since thrawn was in posestion of the lightsaber and the shop has many things relating to thrawn
Ezra Bridger his blaster saber hybrid would be an instant hit and his green one wouldn’t be bad either
Count Dooku Any prequel fan would enjoy this lightsaber and it does feel missing from the shop
Leia’s lightsaber When I watched the rise of skywalker in theaters I left having nothing but love for Leia’s lightsaber it was so beautiful and I LOVED the sound it made when it ignited it really is a elegant weapon for a more civilized age
Rey’s yellow lightsaber people were amazed by Rey’s new lightsaber and it would be Awsome to see it in my hands and see it up close
I hope you at least take these ideas into consideration and I hope to make a trip back to galaxys edge soon
