Candy Sushi is a family-friendly event which made its debut at last year’s Epcot Food and Wine Festival. This popular event is returning for the 2019 Festival, and today we’re sharing booking information for Candy Sushi.
And the because this event filled up so quickly last year, you’ll definitely want to know some things in advance. (Not familiar with Candy Sushi? You can read our review of the event by clicking here!)

New in 2019: Candy Sushi –which was complimentary in 2018 — has a booking fee for 2019. The event costs $10 per guest.

Diane says
No success here either, and I talked to 3 different CMs!
Matt says
I experienced the same thing Kelly reported – error online, when I called they said they are having issues and it’s been reported with no estimated time of it being fixed.
Jay says
Same here. I was told to keep trying as booking is down on the website and also if you call into WDW.
Kelly says
thanks i’m still trying its now 11am ET and still no lunch. calling again and on hold… fingers crossed this gets resolved and i get to book it!
Tasha says
Just booked!
Kelly says
Tasha – yay! Online or on the phone?
Alex says
Just booked online, just hope they’ll be other adults!
Brenda says
Just booked online! Plenty of availability but hurry!
Kate says
Disney page says kids 8+ don’t need supervising but can a parent still go in with them to watch? I don’t want to book for myself but don’t think my 9yr old will be ok without me :-/
Andrea Simmons says
I’ve just booked on line for the first date I tried – I have a very sweet tooth and it looks fun 🙂
Stephanie says
I also experienced the reservation error this morning and the cast member I spoke had no knowledge when they would open reservations. Then my husband scored our reservation at 1:30 today. We’re so excited!
DFB Sarah says
Kate, so last year, Disney was clear about parents being able to sit behind their kids to watch. This year, they haven’t been as specific about whether a parent would need to pay to do that. If you reach out to Disney (probably by phone since online chat option doesn’t always have Festival info!), they can hopefully clarify that for you!
Jen says
This looks great! Is this more for kids or should I book for the adults in our party too?
DFB Sarah says
Jen, guests of all ages are welcome! When we tried it out last year, our team member went without kids and had fun! It would be a lot of fun to do WITH your kids to see who rolls the best Candy Sushi!
Kate says
Thanks DFB, I couldn’t get a definitive answer from Disney unfortunately so have booked for all of us. I’m sure the kids will help eat my sweets!
Kelly says
Hi All – I was finally able to book yesterday! That was stressful for a minute when the errors popped up and the CMs couldnt help!
I booked my son (7) plus me and my hubby… we are two big kids at heart so we all are going to participate!
Enjoy!
Brenda says
I booked for myself and my daughter. We are very far from being kids LOL! But we are just as excited, if not more ;-).
Lauren says
Hi everyone! Looks like this is booking up quickly. There is only a 5:30 reservation left on our date. Is this appropriate for a 4 and 2 year old? My kids love candy so I assume they would at least just eat the ingredients!
DFB Sarah says
Lauren, same here! 😉 I think it would be fun for kids… but they might need a helping hand!
