Okay, you guys. I NEED to tell you about a new treat in Disneyland… it’s the Coffee and Chocolate Funnel Cake.
Because this thing is AWESOME.
This indulgence is a coffee lover’s dream! A warm, crunchy funnel cake is topped with lots of chocolate syrup, whipped cream and espresso chip ice cream to create this super sweet treat. The chocolate syrup mixes very well with the coffee taste… so it’s like a mocha with Funnel Cake!
The taste of the coffee is VERY prominent throughout the funnel cake, so be aware in case you don’t love a strong coffee flavor. Kids may not dig it as much as adults. (Which means more for the parents out there!)
You can grab one of these funnel cakes for yourself at Hungry Bear Restaurant for $7.99 before the Annual Passholder discount. When we were there, they did not have a placard or advertisement for it, so don’t forget to ask for it! The Cast Member we spoke to said it came out a week or so ago.
This decadent snack item is definitely shareable and can be a bit messy, so grab plenty of napkins! When we cut into the funnel cake, a plume of steam escaped due to the heat of the cake mixed with the cold ice cream.
Overall, we loved the Coffee and Chocolate Funnel Cake. It had a crunchy and soft texture with strong flavors throughout. Definitely one of the best funnel cakes we’ve had!

Is there anything like this at Walt Disney World??? We were at WDW on our honeymoon in 1997 and loved the beaver tails in Canada at Epcot.
DFB Sarah says
OrangeBlossom, the closest Disney World comes might be the ice cream/toppings funnel cakes at Oasis Canteen in Hollywood Studios, which are strawberry or cookies and cream. We haven’t seen coffee and chocolate as a funnel cake combo, unfortunately.

This looks so so good. Wish it was on the East Coast too!

Will this still be around through middle of November?
DFB Sarah says
Raechel, no word on the timeline.
