We’re back in Hollywood Studios and we found so many updates for you this week! A new store “popped” up, there’s a new Lunch Box Tart, a new character meet and greet, and lots of menu updates! Let’s get started.
We noticed as we walked to the park from the parking lot that some landscaping was being added to the Disney Skyliner Station for the park.
What’s New with Hollywood Studios’ Construction
The Disney Skyliner Station is coming along — and look at those gondolas, they look right at home there! We are looking forward to the Skyliner opening this fall.
Will you be riding the Skyliner when it opens? Let us know in the comments!
With the new bag and security check area open, the area near the former bag and security check area is now under construction. No announcements have been made about this construction site for now.
What’s New in Hollywood Studios’ Toy Story Land
There’s a new pop-up shop as you exit the Toy Story Mania attraction. You’ll find all kinds of Toy Story and Toy Story 4 merchandise here.
Learn more and take a photo tour of this new location here.
And there’s something new at Woody’s Lunch Box! Check out the Luxo Ball-topped Seasonal Lunch Box Tart. The new flavor, Lemon Blueberry, has replaced the Raspberry flavor for the season. Read our review of the Lemon Blueberry Lunch Box Tart here.
With Bo Peep’s arrival, Jessie has moved her Meet and Greet to the “Star Wars Wall” in Toy Story Land.
We don’t know how permanent this move is, so be on the lookout for Jessie when you visit.
With all of the trees, we still can’t see a whole lot of what is going on in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. But we have a pretty good idea now that we’ve seen the land make its debut in Disneyland! Check out all of our Disneyland Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge coverage here.
What’s New on Hollywood Studios’ Sunset Boulevard
You’ll find the next item at Fairfax Fare on Sunset Boulevard, in the Trolley Car Cafe on Hollywood Boulevard, and at PizzeRizzo which is currently open on Grand Avenue. Hamm from the Toy Story films has arrived in cookie form! Read our review of the Hamm Sweet ‘n Tart Cookie here.
Rosie’s All American Cafe is home to the “I’m Homemade” Forky Eclair, as is Backlot Express where we originally tried it. Read our review of the Toy Story 4 Forky Eclair here.
Catalina Eddie’s has welcomed back Breadsticks and Caesar Salad Dressing. Take a look at our review here to see if this is a welcome return!
What’s New on Hollywood Studios’ Grand Avenue
has been busy updating her menu with several menu updates that came out this week. There are two new appetizers; a Plant-Based Baked Arancini and Insalata di Mercato. That isn’t all you’ll find on the appetizer menu; the Calamari now comes with Sottaceto Misto instead of red peppers. (Wondering what Sottaceto Misto is? It’s pickles!) To make room for these changes the Oak-Grilled Mussels, Seasonal Italian Salad, and Arugula-Prosciutto Flatbread have been removed.
For entrees here you’ll find a few updates as well. For instance, the Seafood Cioppino is now Seafood Fra Diavolo. You may also see “Plant-based” is included in the name for the Polenta Cake, Mushroom, and Herb Cauliflower. There haven’t been any recipe changes with this; it has always been plant-based — just a name change.
What’s New on Hollywood Studios’ Commissary Lane
The new reservation system for dinner started at the ABC Commissary this week, and Pot Roast was added to the dinner menu. Read our review of dinner at the ABC Commissary here!
What’s New in Hollywood Studios’ Shops and Stores — New Merchandise!
We spotted a new Pride Gift Card in Celebrity 5&10. There’s a $15 minimum to activate this gift card which comes on a wristlet.
We spotted a few items that are new this week that we’ve previously found in other locations around the parks and resorts. That cute Cookie Bus full of Walker’s Shortbread that we first saw in Epcot is available here at the Adrian & Edith’s.
As it gets warmer during these Central Florida summer days, keep cool with these super-fun Disney Snack fans. We’ve also seen these at World of Disney in Disneyland and Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter in Disney World.
Bo Peep is hanging with her peeps on this shirt we’ve seen in a few of the shops and stores around the parks. It was fun to see it here since Bo Peep is now meeting and greeting guests in Toy Story Land.
We’ll close out our post with a friendly reminder — it gets hot and humid on these summer days in Florida. Disney wants to be sure you stay hydrated, and that’s why you’ll find free water at most quick service locations. If you don’t find a dispenser like the one we found at Woody’s Lunch Box, just ask at the counter for a cup of ice water and they will gladly give you as many cups of water as you need.
Which new item are you going to try on your next visit to Hollywood Studios? Let us know in the comments.

Do you know what is going on with the Star Wars dessert party? I haven’t been able to book for the 1st week in September. I am wondering if they are changing it around for the opening of Star Wars, it seems strange that I can’t make a reservation at this point. Heard anything?
DFB Sarah says
Jessica, we haven’t heard anything (we’ll post if we do!), but it is possible they dates simply haven’t been released yet. We’ll keep watching!
