In addition to the price increases for Disney World Annual Passes, also in place today are increased rates for overnight parking for guests staying at Disney World Resort hotels.
Note that these new rates are effective for reservations made starting today, June 18, 2019, as listed on the Walt Disney World website. The original pricing will be honored for any reservations made prior to today.
The new rates are as follows, based on Disney World Resort category:
- Disney Value Resorts: $15 per night (increased from $13 per night)
- Disney Moderate Resorts: $20 per night (increased from $19 per night)
- Disney Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts: $25 per night (increased from $24 per night)
Note that complimentary standard parking is still available to guests staying at the Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, as each campsite provides parking space for one motorized vehicle.

I have read different answers to the question – do non members staying on rented points pay for overnight parking at DVC resorts? AJ help!!!
Dean says
They are pricing themselves out of business at this rate

So I guess Disney’s idea is that only the wealthy should go to their parks….it was already an insane cost to park at an overpriced hotel. So on top of raising the annual pass costs, and probably ticket costs soon, they further gouge hotel guests. This hits Florida residents hardest, as they usually have no choice but to drive to Disney. There is no fast train (5-6 hours from Jacksonville, for example, which only about a 2-hour drive!), nor direct-to-Disney buses. Larger families who drive rather than paying thousands in airfare are also hard hit. No bueno, Disney. Walt would be horrified.

Myself and my wife love your videos / channel. Just shocked to see the prices going through the roof. Not sure how anyone with a modest budget can stay in a Disney resort. I’d now like to see videos on the Disney good neighbor hotels, and what they have to offer.
Peggy Dawn Maines says
Pure greed. Good news may be that as less people are able to afford Disney, the lines will grow shorter until everyone is done.
Justin says
Do they charge Annual Passholders? I don’t remember an extra charge at All-star Movies.
DFB Sarah says
Justin, APs do pay for parking at their resorts, but they park at the Parks for free.
chris says
unreal, I mean they are targeting more and more those with money 🙁
Elena says
Parking literally costs them nothing. This is a disgrace. We literally cannot afford to take my son to Disney World anymore and it makes me so sad.
Carol says
Every year Disney is charging more and taking more away. So much for a “Magical Experience in the Happiest place on earth” We drive down every year and there are so many empty spots to park……..so why charge people for parking? Just another disney ripoff!
Julia says
You should mention in your posts that there is no parking fee at the resorts for anyone with a valid handicapped permit. Just be sure to tell them that you have one at check-in.
Russ says
Nico no u do not have to pay if u are renting points and staying at a villa . I wish Disney would understand that by saving money to drive to the parks/resorts we will spend more money while there. It is a net cost of zero to allow guests to park at a resort they are already paying for. This just seams like an unreasonable money grab.
Dawn S says
There isn’t one positive reply on here and I doubt Disney cares. ??

I Love Disney and have always been sooo excited to go, but I’m going in November, not excited, and sad to say, this will be my last time going. I SHOULD be excited because I am taking my grandson for his first visit, but all these price increases are really making me mad. They are pricing families right out of the parks. Walt would be turning over in his grave if he could see how his dream has turned into total greed. Shame on all these big shots raising prices so they can put more money in their pockets, while little Johnny has always wanted to go to the most Magical Place on Earth, but his parents can’t afford to take him. This place has already turned into the most Greediest Place on Earth.
Ashley says
You can always park at Disney springs for free and ride the free bus over to the parks.
Sid says
Our family is DONE with Disney! Disney is synonymous with GREED!
Annie says
These increases I’m sure are making people take a look at other places to vacation. Last yearbook we sprang for the annual pass since we live in GA. Pass expires in Oct and will cost us an extra $1000 once tax is applied to renew. Now increases to parking fees and rumored fast pass fees! Yesterday I calculated my family has spent over $11k across several trips this year and have two more trips planned. We will not be renewing our pass come October and skipping Disney for awhile. Sad, I’m an avid Disney fan, been visiting for years, but these increases are getting a bit crazy.

Ginny Richerson says
OK I normally do NOT comment but this parking fee is totally ridiculous. I am paying high prices to stay at a deluxe resort and do not see the need to pay for parking my car when I don’t use it throughout my stay. It’s almost getting to the point that I don’t want to come any mo0re – especially since one of my favorite resorts is allowing dogs to stay in the rooms!!!!!!
Persephone says
guys… its a $1 to $2 increase… if you cannot afford that, then don’t vacation at Disney lol
Joan says
Greedy, Greedy, Greedy
Seriously, everything is increasing at an alarming rate. Disney was already high. But between tickets, food, parking , and the already high hotels….
Who can afford it. I know we won’t be going back anytime soon.
No longer the happiest place on earth, just the greediest !
DRPR says
Makes no sense at all to pay for Parking at Disney Hotels. What is the purpose of not paying for parking at the parks if you have an AP but paying for it if you choose to stay at a resort? Honestly that is why we are staying outside of Disney now. You can find some deals that either wave parking or the price of the rooms are much cheaper than staying at Disney.
joanna buchanan says
do DVC members pay a fee to park as well?
Pat says
What’s next? Charging resort guests to use the WDW buses? ?
DFB Sarah says
Joanna, no, DVC members do not pay to park at their resorts.
Bonnie says
I see a comment about handicap parking being free is that true? and
If you are staying at the resort and paying for parking do you also pay at the park if you decide to drive instead of taking Disney transportation?
Cheryl says
Disney has priced itself out of the average household with its GREED. After this trip which is already booked, we are done with Disney. We are joining the surprisingly growing ranks of those boycotting. Surprisingly, it doesn’t hurt as much as I thought, but with all the crowds, effort required to plan a trip and Disney’s hand out at every turn, I’m actually letting out a sigh of relief.
Still love you AJ ❤️
DFB Sarah says
Bonnie, the official Disney word is that “standard parking rates apply” for those using handicap spaces. If you’re staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you park for free at the Parks.
Julia says
You should double check your information about parking charges for those with a valid handicapped permit. I was there in August 2018, and I did not pay. I am not referring to the parks; I am referring to the hotels.
The response I received from Guest Experience Services was, “. . . a Guest parking with a valid disability parking permit will receive complimentary parking at any of our Walt Disney World Resort hotels.”
DFB Sarah says
Julia, thanks for sharing!
Patrice says
Ppl need to stop leaving gratuities and replace with comments of your gratuities were used for our parking fee at our hotel This would stir the pot I’m sure bc it’s then digging into the working ppls pockets It’s unfortunate you can’t dig into those making theses stupid decisions. Bc I’m sure that’s where the extra money is really going. There’s a new hotel being built now. More parking and more parking money to b made unreal ???. Walt should b really proud of how these crooks have BUTCHERED his dream
Crissy S. says
Is the parking significantly different between the value, moderate, and deluxe resorts? If not, I don’t understand the price difference.
