We are coming at you from Disney World’s Magic Kingdom to share What’s New!
This is where “the rain, rain, rain came down, down, down” a lot, lot, LOT this week. But that’s never stopped the Dapper Dans from having fun…
… so let’s follow their lead and check out What’s New in Magic Kingdom!
What’s New at Magic Kingdom Entrance
The Dream Builders remain busy in Magic Kingdom, where construction projects move forward!
Work continues in the area starting at the park’s entrance which spans between Space Mountain and Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
We don’t know exactly what the ultimate goal is here, but fortunately fun views of Space Mountain aren’t obstructed in the least.
What’s New on Main Street, U.S.A.
Did you see the Chocolate Extreme Shake that just made its debut at The Plaza Restaurant?
If not, you really should check out this crazy concoction topped with a glazed donut, whipped cream, and a Mickey marshmallow (plus MORE tucked inside!) by clicking here!
What’s New in Fantasyland
The walkway from Liberty Square to Cinderella Castle remains closed.
Here’s a peek at the current refurbishment work.
Okay, maybe more than a peek…
What’s New in Tomorrowland
Sonny Eclipse
still remains sadly absent at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café.
But fret not, space friends. According to Cast Members, our favorite lounge-singing alien is just visiting family in his home galaxy, and should be back soon!
Everybody needs a break, after all… even Sonny Eclipse!
Speaking of unique creatures, Joffrey’s Revive Coffee & Tea kiosk is currently serving the Unicorn Donut.
This is the first time we’ve seen it in the parks outside of its original home at Contemporary Grounds in the Contemporary Resort.
We also found a…
… well, we don’t exactly know. Is this Chocolate Coconut Muffin a polar bear? Is it a bunny? It cheered us up to learn that the Cast Member we spoke with didn’t know either 😉 . In any case, you’ll never hear me argue with chocolate and coconut!
And here is the latest look at quick-moving construction for the TRON coaster.
What’s New in Magic Kingdom Merchandise
In case you missed it, the prices have increased for the Magic Kingdom reusable bags.
Previously priced at $1.00, $1.50, and $2.00, each individually sized bag is now a dollar more.
Of course, these are indicative of similar price increases for all the other park-specific bags.
The Dooney & Bourke Disney Cats collection which made its first appearance in Disney Springs is now available at Magic Kingdom’s Emporium.
And another Alex & Ani bracelet is now available in honor of The Lion King!
This Hakuna Matata bracelet ($44.95) at Magic Kingdom’s Emporium joined the Simba bracelet we originally found in Animal Kingdom.
And while we’ve seen BB-8 Mickey Ears before, this version we just found at the Emporium is new to us.
On this one, BB-8’s head spins around on top! ($24.99)
Rainy Days in Magic Kingdom
Since summer storms aren’t even remotely uncommon in Florida, we thought we’d leave you with a few pictures to remind you that even when the clouds cover Magic Kingdom…
… there’s still hardly a more magical place to be!
We’ll see you from right back here real soon, in our next round of What’s New in Magic Kingdom! And check out ways to turn rainy days into AWESOME days in our DFB YouTube Video!

bear jamboree and tiki room are on the chopping block , better visit it while you can everyone. I have no desire to return to MK once they take away the tiki room, thats the final nail in the coffin for me with Disney.
