Editor’s Note 7/2/19: Sam’s Club is no longer selling the Annual Pass, however there are other ticket deals for Sam’s Club members, including on water parks and special events.
When Walt Disney World’s Annual Pass saw a massive price increase of almost 20% recently, we heard from readers and followers who were, understandably, upset. But where there’s a Disney Parks problem, we’re digging up solutions. And this one could save you over $260 on the purchase of your Annual Pass!
Sam’s Club members can now purchase a Platinum Annual Pass or a Platinum Plus Annual Pass for a deep discount. Whereas the price directly from Disney is well over $1100 for an adult Platinum Pass…
…Sam’s Club has Platinum Passes available for just $865.99 — a savings of over $269, per the Sam’s Club website!
The savings is the same on the Platinum Plus Pass, where the Sam’s price is $965.99.
Our calculations worked out to even more than that, but whether you save $269 or $332, it’s a huge savings.
To access this offer, you must be a Sam’s Club member, the cost for which is $45 per year. But if you’re a member (or become one), you can click here to see the Sam’s Club offer, and get ready to calculate some savings!

DFB Sarah says
Thanks, Lisa!
DFB Sarah says
Linda, it’s possible to do that directly with Disney, but it does not appear possible with the Sam’s Club discounted tickets.
Vickie says
Where is the expiration date located on the voucher from Sam’s Club? I have read ours over multiple times and have not been able to find an actual expiration date.
We purchased 3 vouchers last week and saved $801 compared to the price of purchasing new AP’s for when we go back the Fall of 2020. We had previously decided not to renew our passes when they expire in September (it would have been $265 if we were renewing, still a great savings).
From chatting with Disney, I understand that we are to add the voucher to our MDE accounts. We may then choose to activate our passes at any time by 12/31/2030, but I don’t want to skip a step by missing the Sam’s Club expiration date.
Kimberly Schmidt says
I just want to update and let everyone know that I was able to purchase the discounted AP from Sam’s Club on-line this evening and received my voucher via e-mail within an hour. I linked it to MDE and confirmed that the voucher expiration date is in 2030. Thank you DFB for sharing this tip! Also, thanks Lisa M Sapp for sharing your experience — it gave me the confidence to make the non-refundable purchase when two different Sam’s Club contacts were giving me other information (which was totally WRONG!).
John P says
Is this deal still active this morning (6/27)? I’ll buy a Sam’s membership to get this deal!
Thanks!
Brandon says
Kimmy Schmidt. Ma’am. You are “Unbreakable”. Ha ha. See what I did there?
So does the Dec 2030 mean that theoretically, if you wanted to, you could wait to activate the voucher (At Disney) all the way up until 11 years from now?
Is there any further Fine Print attached to your confirmation email?
Would you be able to email me a screen shot of the voucher with the fine print? Minus the personal and volatile information of course.
[email protected]
Thanks
DFB Sarah says
John, we haven’t heard an end date for the discount pricing…
Diego says
I wish i had a Sams Club Membership 🙁
DFB Sarah says
Diego, the membership is $45, which may be offset for you with AP price savings.
Jessica Vicknair says
Okay, but do you still get all of the same benefits? Merchandise 20% discount, dining discounts, complimentary Magic Bands? I’ve read on the Sam’s Club site but couldn’t find anything other than the tickets and the Photopass. Do you get another yellow card from guest relations at Disney ? Just trying to understand!
DFB Sarah says
Jessica, it’s the Annual Pass with all of its perks. You do go to Guest Relations to activate the voucher you receive from Sam’s Club.
Nancy says
Our Sam’s Club in Desplaines IL did not have the discount pricing!
John P says
Nancy, Just go to the Sam’s club website and search for it. Im not sure if it’s in store, but I bought from the main website.
DFB Sarah says
Nancy, we’ve seen it online, so we aren’t sure about the discounts in store.
Brandon says
It is indeed quite a chore finding the exact sequence to click through to find Thebes AP discount page. Because it does not show up in a search. When I finally got to the AP page, it took me about 10 mins of clicking and starting over.
It’s there. You just have to keep clicking till you find it.
Michelle Dixon says
Hi All – another person confirming that the activation date is go thru Dec 2030. 🙂
Let me add another point – if you are buying tickets for friends who may be using them at different dates, be sure to order separately. I bought 4 tickets (2 plat+ 2 plat) and filled out all the information, listed myself as the pick-up person and my name is now on both vouchers despite filling out the order with all our friends information. It didn’t click to me that Order Pick-up meant Activate Vouchers…having never ordered tiks for other people – I just didn’t realize it.
At worse I’ll fly down to be there for them if necessary, but I’ll be at Disney shortly and ask if there are any other options. I can’t be the first person to do that LOL~
DFB Sarah says
Michelle, thanks for the confirmation! Good luck with changing the name on the vouchers. Hopefully that’ll work out for you!
MegaGlide says
As of this morning the offer is no longer available on Sam’s site.
D B Dukes says
What @MegaGlide says is correct, at least for now. The Annual Pass Platinum is no longer listed. It was showing Water Parks Annual Pass a little bit ago, but that’ s now gone.
My thinking is that Sam’s Club is updating their Website, and it may or may not return.
DFB Sarah says
Thanks for the heads up on Sam’s Club! We’re looking into it!
Lisa M Sapp says
I wonder if Sam’s was caught off guard with the overnight massive annual pass price increase? I was wondering how long it would take before the offer was pulled off the site.
Alisa Dean says
Can anyone confirm whether or not this offer is still available at Sams Club? I’m not a member so I can’t see if it’s still offered…. Thanks so much!
DFB Sarah says
Alisa, the Annual Passholder discount is not available, but there are others. We have a post coming soon!
Benji says
Saw the news a last week and went to purchase this morning….super bummed that the offer isn’t available anymore. Still can’t believe how much the AP price increased over night 🙁
eileen says
Is there any word as to whether this will return? I also purchased a Sam’s club membership to buy annual passses and the offer is gone.
DFB Sarah says
Eileen, no word on this, but we’ll be checking and update!
Brandon says
As to whether it will return. I would say, it’s possible. However the price will be much higher.
Through some correspondence emails, I discovered that the discount was actually being serviced by ticketsatwork.com who was also running the same discount on their actual website as SAMS.
But… the day the SAMS discount disappeared, the ticketsatwork.com discount went from $865.99 up to $1085.99.
My thinking is that Ticketsatwork.com had a certain Allotment of these discounts available. People bought up the SAMs $865 priced tickets. And when they were gone… They were gone.
Ticketsatwork.com had the same discount but the allotment for the original discount was gone so on their website the price went up to the NEW discount.
I did some math.
Orig Pass Price: $899
Orig Discount: $865
% Discount: 3.6%
New Pass Price: $1,119
New Discount: $1,085
% Discount: 3.0%
I think the SAMs discount was just a carryover of the original Allotment. And when they were gone, they were gone. Now the discount is back to a standard percentage off of around 3%.
Sad but it seems like this is the case.
Hollie says
I am super upset because Sams told me the voucher would expire 12/31/2019 (I was told this by multiple people) and we weren’t going until spring of 2020 so we didn’t get them. Seeing that they are actually good for 10 years is very frustrating! I wish I would have seen this prior to us deciding to pass!
Tom says
I cannot find the AP discount from Sam’s Club . Does anybody have the link or did they remove it? I only found the discount ticket prices only.
DFB Sarah says
Tom, the AP discount ended a while back. It’s worth checking back, though, as their offers do change.
