It’s time to see What’s New in the Most Magical Place on Earth!
It’s Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, and we’re checking out new treats, a VERY special Popcorn Bucket, construction around the Kingdom, and more. Please join us!
What’s New at the Confectioneries and Carts
Toy Story treats
have taken over the bakery cases at The Confectionery on Main Street, U.S.A. and Big Top Treats in Storybook Circus!
These are, of course, in celebration of the arrival of Toy Story 4 in movie theaters. Have you seen it yet?!?
And at a few Popcorn Carts around Magic Kingdom (for instance, the one near the Hub to the right facing Cinderella Castle), you can currently find the Steamboat Willie Popcorn Bucket!
It’s $18.00 and will be available while supplies last.
What’s New on Main Street, U.S.A.
Don’t fret if you don’t see the classic baseball player statues that typically stand guard outside of Casey’s Corner.
They’re just gone for a little refurb, and will be back at bat soon. But here are some pictures, in case you miss them in the meantime…
What’s New in Fantasyland
Here’s the latest look at the construction work widening the pathway around Cinderella Castle…
The work is being done on the pathway from Liberty Square to the Castle.
If you need to cool off when you’re in Magic Kingdom (and you probably will — it’s HOT out there, folks!), you can currently grab a Joffrey’s Cold Brew Coffee — with an added flavor or without — at Pinocchio Village Haus.
There was also a new merchandise cart outside of the Village Haus during our stroll. But, of course, these things do tend to make their way around…
What’s New in Tomorrowland
Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant
is now sporting the updated Tomorrowland orange and yellow color scheme thanks to some fresh coats of paint on the ceiling.
Joffrey’s Revive continues to serve up all the caffeine and treats you need as you blast off in Tomorrowland!
New donut flavors on our last visit included S’mores, Raspberry, and Fruity Pebbles.
While we’re here, let’s check out the latest construction for the TRON Coaster!
The highly-anticipated ride will open before Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebration in 2021.
What’s New in Magic Kingdom’s Shops — New Merchandise
Uptown Jewelers
is our first stop to check out merchandise where the new Toy Story Dress Shop Dress ($128.00) and Toy Story Dooney & Bourke bags are currently in stock.
This is also where you’ll find The Little Mermaid Diaper Backpack by Petunia Pickle Bottom ($164.95).
Mickey’s Star Traders in Tomorrowland is where we found the largest collection of the new themed Backpacks yet!
These include designs paying tribute to Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room and the Haunted Mansion ($29.99 each).
Three new sets of Beverage Holders can now be found featuring Mickey and Minnie, Grumpy, and Cinderella and her Castle ($14.99 each).
These join the Mickey one which has been available for some time.
We also spotted this Mickey Balloons Phone Case ($34.99).
Not a bad way to take one of THESE…
… home with you from Magic Kingdom! We hope you’ll stayed tuned to DFB as we continue to bring you What’s New from Disney Parks and Resorts!

Those Toy Story Dress Shop dresses look like they were recycled from the 1940’s and ’50s.

When are they going to put the popcorn cart back out in the front of the park near City Hall? I miss that cart. we grab popcorn coming in and going out!
Sandra Givens says
DebC, yes, if you look at all the various dresses currently being offered at WDW, they indeed channel the 50″s more or less (I grew up then so I’m familiar with the styles). This is purposeful since what people wear now wouldn’t show off the fabrics as well or be as much fun as the older fashions. Lots of the dresses and skirts from my childhood years in the 50’s had whimsical designs, like the dresses printed all over with cherries that my mother made to match for herself, my sister and me. These retro dresses really take me back to the exciting days of the original Mickey Mouse Club, an afterschool must.
And now I’m hungry for cherry pie.
