D-Luxe Burger
When we learned about some new eats on the menu recently, we had to try them for ourselves — especially because one of them is covered in bugs!
We did our due DFB diligence and dug into the “Grub” Burger ($13.49) and the seasonal Orange Cream Shake ($7.50). Because how do you not try the burger with grubs on it?
“Grub” Burger in Disney Springs
The “Grub” Burger consists of a burger patty with tomato worms, basil grasshopper, balsamic vinegar spider, tomato salad, fried mozzarella, AND lettuce on a Parker House roll. The titular grubs were a strange, gelatinous texture (perhaps mimicking the bugs they represent?), and the flavors did not deliver the promised tomato, basil, and balsamic. They’re fun for a food dare, but otherwise they’re a hard pass from us.

The burger itself was cooked to order and not dry at all — a hallmark of D-Luxe that makes it one of the only places on Disney World property where you can get a quick service burger that’s not completely dried out.

Overall, the burger was great once we took off the bugs! We loved the fried mozzarella cheese and the tomato salad. It was just like a balsamic Caprese salad — but on a burger! And it really worked (minus the grubs…).

We also couldn’t wait to try the Orange Cream Seasonal Shake — a Flavors of Florida menu item.

We loved this seasonal shake — and it’s the perfect addition for the Flavors of Florida promotion happening in Disney Springs. It tasted exactly like a melted orange creamsicle. It was absolutely delicious on a hot day in Orlando!
