Hooray for HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS…
… where, as you’ll see in the photos we’re sharing below, the clouds may roll in and out over the Florida summer, but the fun never stops! And we’re here to check out WHAT’S NEW in the park this week!
What’s New with Disney Skyliner Progress
Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be one of six locations that guests can visit by way of the Disney Skyliner gondolas when the new transportation system opens this fall.
Additional — and very sleek — signage can now be spotted at the Hollywood Studios station.
And you can check out a TON of the latest progress on the Disney Skyliner here!
What’s New on Hollywood Boulevard to Animation Courtyard
There are currently some construction walls blocking the ramp going from Hollywood Boulevard (next to the Chinese Theatre which will house Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway in 2020) to Animation Courtyard.
Inside Animation Courtyard, you can see that The Lion King is the newest movie to receive a promotional poster.
But, as of press time, you can still catch the Toy Story 4 preview inside Walt Disney Presents — though we imagine that will change up soon, now that the movie is in theaters.
Have you seen it yet?!
What’s New at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
At the edge of… well, of Galaxy’s Edge 😉 , from Toy Story Land you can see that some lighting has been installed at the walkway.
This is set in place in advance of lots of late nights on Batuu for many guests to come once Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens on August 29th!
(It’s SO CLOSE now!!!)
What’s New on Grand Avenue
Heads up that over at BaseLine Tap House, you currently won’t find the Exotic Margarita on the menu.
This seems temporary, however, as the yuzu for the drink is simply on backorder from Japan, so the cast was hopeful it would be back within just a few days.
What’s New on Echo Lake
If you’ve been following along on our most recent trips to Hollywood Studios, you are already aware that the former Oasis Canteen now goes by the name of Epic Eats.
The name change did not originally result in any changes to the menu… but our most recent visit revealed that the Rum Island Breeze has now replaced the Dreamsicle Float.
You can check out our review of the Rum Island Breeze here!
What’s New Around the Park
The park’s Guest Experience Team is now more easily found thanks to new custom umbrellas designating their station, should you need assistance.
What’s New in the Shops
As we step into the shops… at 5&10, we found this adorable Marie Poof Keychain ($9.99)!
A new Buzz Lightyear cap for kids ($21.99) also blasted into the shop.
Some of the latest Toy Story merchandise — the Dress Shop Dress ($128) and Bo Peep outfit ($168) — can be found currently at Beverly Sunset Boutique.
You can take a better look at them from these pictures we snapped at other parks below where they were on mannequin display, or you can check them out in more detail by clicking here.
And the Toy Story Dooney & Bourke bags are at Once Upon a Time.
The Dug Loungefly backpack — he has just met you, and he loves you! — also currently has a home at Once Upon a Time.
“Adventure is out there!” And it’s also HERE with our pals…
… at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!!
