We’re prowling the colorful streets of Disneyland Resort, where we spotted some Galaxy’s Edge characters out and about, ate some alien mac and cheese, and found a few new merch items. And did we mention guests can now park on the Cars level of the Pixar Pals Parking Structure? Here’s What’s New at Disneyland Resort!
What’s New in Disneyland Resort Food and Menus
There’s not much food news in Disneyland Resort at the moment, but we did stop into Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to re-try a couple of the kids’ menu items. Your kiddos (or yourself) can start the day with the yummy Bright Suns Younglings breakfast! This is a more straightforward version of the adult Bright Suns breakfast, which includes a pork sausage and presents purple potatoes with lots of mushrooms and peppers.
The Bright Suns Younglings includes simple scrambled eggs, plain purple potatoes, and fresh fruit OR the mini Mustafarian Lava Roll. This is for sure a hearty breakfast for a kid, and we think adults will like it, too!

We also grabbed lunch at Docking Bay because why not? 😉 The Fried Endorian Tip Yip with Mac and Cheese on the kids’ menu here is easily one of our favorite dishes in Galaxy’s Edge!
We would argue this mac and cheese is the best side on Docking Bay’s menu, so if you prefer this to the Roasted Vegetable Mashed Potatoes of the grown-up version (which are actually pretty good, too!), order that kids’ portion (or see if they’ll let you sub in mac on the adult meal, although mileage might vary there).

A little over a week ago we shared that Milk Stand (finally!) has a souvenir cup… and it’s apropos of the whole milky vibe of this small drink stall.
It’s inspired by old-fashioned milk jugs and, in true Galaxy’s Edge fashion, the name reflects the Bubo Wambo Family Farms from which the milk comes.

If you’re looking for a different kind of sip, you’ll want to try for a reservation at Oga’s Cantina in Galaxy’s Edge and order up the fun Bespin Fizz! Click here to read about all of Oga’s concoctions and figure out which one(s) you must try! (Hint: the Fuzzy Tauntaun is especially memorable!) This one isn’t new — and it is STILL delicious — but in our previous pictures you couldn’t really see the true *glitter* of the drink. So here ya go!
Now that Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is open to the general public, you’ll want to brush up on the current procedures. Click here to see how you can reserve a spot at Oga’s Cantina and Savi’s Workshop and get into the land for some intergalactic fun!
We had a reservation for Oga’s, and we received this card with our entry time. The Aurebesh writing says, of course, Oga’s! But even if you’re not well-versed in the Star Wars language, the cocktail should be a giveaway. 🙂
We snapped a few more shots inside, too, so you can get another feel for the vibe of Oga’s.
DJ R3X is on hand keeping the beats pumpin’! He’s so fun!
Elsewhere in the universe… like over near Big Thunder Railroad… you’ll find the Breakfast Chimichanga. We reviewed this filling breakfast portable here!
What’s New in Disneyland Resort Construction
The Pixar Pals Parking Structure we’ve been eagerly watching and awaiting finally opened (in full) yesterday! We grabbed these shots a few days before it opened, but check out that bright, fun Luxo Ball!
Levels of the garage are dedicated to Pixar characters, of course, including Monsters, Inc., Cars, Inside Out, and Finding Nemo/Dory!
Inside the parking structure: some fun details in lighting and decor!
The adjacent pedestrian walkway remains under construction, with some parts of it showing progress while others are still in need of some love.
Signs are up with directions to the new parking structure, too!
What’s New in Disneyland Resort Merchandise
Naturally we couldn’t help but to pop into some shops to see what’s new in merch at Disneyland Resort. We spotted a new version of The Little Mermaid Bubble Wand. (An earlier version had lighter colors and no figure on the top.)
We spotted the wand in World of Disney in Downtown Disney, but it should appear in merch locations around the Parks. It’s $25.00.
In Disneyland Park’s Emporium, we saw a new-to-us Coco Mug ($22.99)! It’ll help you “remember me”… and by “me” we mean “coffee”. Lots and lots of coffee.
At Disneyana, Passholders can purchase this exclusive Haunted Mansion tee shirt ($32.99).
And if you’ve been tied up in bows about the SERIOUSLY Jumbo Minnie Bow Headband, know that it’s currently available at Mad Hatter ($27.99).
What’s New in Disneyland Resort Characters
One of the hallmarks of Galaxy’s Edge, you may well know, is that most characters don’t have stationary meet-and-greet areas. Rather, they stroll around Black Spire Outpost (typically in areas that relate to them, like the First Order section or the Marketplace and Rebel areas). We spotted several notable characters during our short visit last week! Rey was ready for action!
Chewie was likewise near Rise of the Resistance and the starships on display in that area.
You may find Chewbacca pulling out his tools to “fix” strollers in Galaxy’s Edge, too, so if you need a mechanic… 😉
Over in the First Order area of the land, Stormtroopers and Kylo Ren took the stage by the TIE Echelon for a short show and then wandered amongst the travelers to Batuu. Don’t forget to tell them you’re “For the Order”!
And with that, we say “May the Spires keep you” until our next What’s New!
Click here to learn all the Batuu expressions and the Aurebesh alphabet before you land in Galaxy’s Edge! We’ve got an EXCLUSIVE print-out for you, too!
