Another one bites the dust… Disney continues to move forward on the transformation of Epcot.
Today, Disney has released information about the temporary closure of Character Spot. And now Disney has stated that Electric Umbrella is going to be shutting its doors as well.
According to the Electric Umbrella Restaurant page on the Walt Disney World website, “Electric Umbrella is scheduled to close this winter. New dining options will be available in the future, featuring a variety of food and beverage selections.”
Restaurant hours are currently only listed through November 23rd, but that can change at any time.
Electric Umbrella currently serves a multitude of items like burgers, chicken nuggets, and salads. We are not sure if or when Electric Umbrella will reopen, but stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for more updates!

WHY. It is the only place to get a free refill. I think it is the best value at any of the parks.

We were there recently. Enjoyed a pleasant and peaceful lunch. I liked the menu but Disney is always upgrading and evolving. I’m sure it will be another success story. Look forward to the new restaurant and menu.
