We LOVE getting secret menu items, especially when they’re REALLY good.
That’s why we were so excited to learn about this change to the existing secret Loaded Fries from Disneyland’s Hungry Bear Restaurant.
Initially, these were a secret menu item that you could usually only get when ordering a full meal. BUT TODAY, our cast member at Hungry Bear let us know that we could order them as a side item all by themselves — no entree. This is a great development, since these guys are totally snack-worthy. But know that your mileage may vary — since it’s a new development today, it could absolutely change tomorrow.
Also note that this is still a “secret” menu item since the loaded fries are not listed on the official Hungry Bear menu. And while you’ll find them when using Mobile Order, these are still only available as a side to an entree. You won’t find them as a solo side item in the app.
Now, let’s chat about what makes these secret fries so good: loaded fries drenched in cilantro sauce, cheese sauce, bacon, and green onions. I mean cheese sauce, BACON, cilantro sauce! Come to mama.
We think this dish is a great portion for the price and the fries are just SO GOOD. We love the cilantro sauce since it gives the fries a hint of lime flavor. And though the portion is big, this didn’t feel like a heavy meal, which is always nice. The loaded fries are $5.79 and can be found at Hungry Bear Restaurant in Disneyland.
And remember — they have a loaded onion rings secret menu side item as well! We’re not sure if you can get these as a solo side item yet or not, but you can always ask!

It looks like the beaver is begging for your loaded fries! Too funny!
DFB Sarah says
Morgan, the beaver knows a good snack when it sees one! 😉
Meghan says
Are these loaded fries gluten-free?
DFB Sarah says
Meghan, they seem as if they should be, but you’ll need to check with the cast members (ask for the allergen binder!).
Meghan Weber says
Hi! I got an answer from a Disney chef tonight re: gluten-free.
No, these are not gluten-free. The surprising culprit is the bacon which is fried on a shared flat top in the “common” kitchen.
GF diners can order an allergy fry with all toppings except bacon.
