We’ve got some seriously fun news about disney transportation that you’re gonna want to celebrate!
The Disney Bus system is a lifesaver whenever you’re in the parks. You never have to worry about parking, you get to pull right up to the entrance of your destination, and your ride is usually simple and pleasant. In addition to all those perks, Disney Transportation is about to get super spectacular.
This month, the Disney Buses in Disney World will be debuting a magical makeover. The Sensational Six— Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Donald, and Daisy— will be adorning the sides of Disney Transport buses with reds, yellows, greens, and blues! The excitement of seeing your bus pull up is even greater now that you can catch a ride with these classic characters.
However, the outside isn’t the only part of the bus getting sprinkled with a little extra pixie dust! Inside, there are new seats and laminate floors for your driving satisfaction.
But here’s what we were talking about when we said you would want to celebrate — after resting inside the redone interior, you can also plug your phone, camera, camcorder, or portable charger into the recently installed USB charging ports (WHAT?!?!) located between the seats. No more missing out on memories because of a low battery!
Oh, boy! With the new Skyliner Gondola system and refurbished buses, Disney Transportation is seriously rolling out all the stops!
What character bus are you the most excited to hop on? Let us know in the comments below!

The Minnie bus! I’ll be there between 7/14-7/20. Will the new buses be running then?
DFB Sarah says
Michele, we’ll update when we see them on the roads this month!
DisneyJean says
Are they still ECV useable?
Lisa says
Well those new busses sure look pretty. However, what would be even nicer is if they would run more of them so half the people did not have to stand and hold a pole. Not only is it horribly uncomfortable, but it is super scary and dangerous.

Cute as they are, I have to disagree that the buses are a lifesaver – they are a pain in the neck to me and my family. They hold very few people and after a 30-40 minute wait you may or may not board the bus that rolls up. Scooter riders and their families board first, then maybe there is room for you and your family to stand in the aisle holding onto a strap in the ceiling as you bounce and turn. Uber is the way and only way to go!!
Jeannine Stultz says
Elaine, I have to use a scooter now, I have one family member that goes with me and he boards with everyone else. When you get where you are going I am the last one out of the bus. Thank you for caring

Wow, aren’t some people selfish! My brother had a stroke a few years ago, he wears a brace on one leg and has very little use of the left side of his body. But he loves Disney World and we try to get him there once every year. We rent an electric wheelchair for him as that is the only way he can get around. I thank God for the Disney bus system that allows those that are handicapped and have physical disabilities to have a chance to enjoy Disney World the same way the rest of us do that are blessed enough to have the use of both our legs and arms. My brother would give anything to be able just to stand in line on his own two feet again and be able to use both of his arms and legs – but he can’t. So some people are what? Jealous that he’s so badly disabled and gets assistance to get on a Disney bus first? My husband goes on the bus to assist the bus driver with the wheelchair as the drivers are limited in what they are allowed to do so my husband helps the driver To secure the wheelchair. I wait outside of the bus to see if my husband will need help. We get on the bus and sit near my brother in case he needs any help during the ride. People really need to examine their hearts and their motives and be thankful that they are able to stand on their own two feet and use both alarms. Many people cannot.

DAISY GETS MY VOTE HOPE THAT SHE UP AND RUNNING WHEN WE ARE THERE OCT 25TH
Jackie N. says
Maybe Disney should have a “Scooter Only” bus for those that need a scooter and their families. That way more guests can board the buses.
DFB Sarah says
DisneyJean, yes.
David Lee says
The new busses will be assigned to Disney Springs because the way we drivers receive information has changed to an iPad-like device. The drivers at Disney Springs have been trained on how to use them. Those of us at the other hubs haven’t been, yet. All Disney busses will be converted to the new system in the near future.

My daughter LOVES Daisy 🙂 and I’m so excited that she’s now included and it’s the “SENSATIONAL SIX”!!
We will be there at the end of November & beginning of December this year and are really excited to see these!
For all the other comments of people complaining.. why? Everyone comes to the Disney Parks to enjoy the magic, this does mean EVERYONE 🙂 We do not, should not, discriminate! Heaven forbid your ‘able-bodied’ self now needs a scooter (or other) later on in life and that will not stop you from enjoying the fun of the Disney Parks. Why should that stop others from enjoy it too? So what if you are delayed for 15 more minutes, or however long, so that someone who cannot walk or function like you can get on the bus first? We all need to be more patient and put others before ourselves. Compassion is what this country needs and if we can’t have it everywhere why can’t we at least have it in the Disney Parks?! In the end, it will all come full circle. Life is too short.
