I could not agree more about desserts at the boathouse. I was there in June and all of the desserts on the menu were at or over $20. We were all thinking about ordering, but decided against it. Instead, we went to sprinkles and got cupcakes there. Rather than spending $80 on desserts (we would have ordered 4 of them for our group) we spent $14 on cupcakes, and they were delicious.
For similar reasons, I actually don’t think the desserts at Amorettes are overpriced. They’re great quality, they’re beautiful, and I find that they are often the same size as a dessert I would get at a signature restaurant (with the exception of boathouse, where everything is huge), but they taste better and are often a good $4 cheaper. But, I may be biased since their Mickey Mousse is one of my favorite desserts on property.
