Welcome to our latest roundup of What’s New in Magic Kingdom!
Today we’ll talk about everything new we found in Magic Kingdom this week, from a returning special effects drink to adorable new merchandise for your furry friend. Let’s get started!
Magic Kingdom Food Update
While we were walking down Main Street, U.S.A., we noticed that The Confectionary is now selling whole red or green apples for $2.29 each. If you still want to try one of the adorable Toy Story treats, you may be in luck! We spotted them in The Confectionery’s bakery case as well.
Over in Tomorrowland, Cool Ship has brought the Super Lemonade back! (The Super Lemonade is a special effects drink that initially debuted last year.) Also, the Orange Vanilla Coke is now listed on the menu again. While we’ve been able to get it for a while, the beverage had not been listed on the physical menu lately.

Magic Kingdom Construction Update
The construction area near the entrance has now expanded, and a larger area is blocked off to guests. This area is located near the old bag check spot.
In Tomorrowland, there is now a sign outside Astro Orbiter to let guests know the ride is down for refurbishment. As far as we know, the attraction will reopen on Thursday, August 15th, though this may change at any time.
In Fantasyland, construction is underway on the Cinderella Castle walkway. They’ve made some progress with the brickwork, so we hope it won’t be TOO long until the walkway reopens.
When we were in Magic Kingdom, Liberty Square Market was still open, but the seating area was blocked off for construction work. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more about this construction!
Magic Kingdom Merchandise Update
In case you missed it, the “Full Steam Ahead” ear hat, designed by the artist Noah, was released last week. The new ears are now available to purchase at Main Street Cinema Shop and Uptown Jewelers.

We noticed that the Alex and Ani Ears are also still available for now at Uptown Jewelers.
We also found the new Lion King Dooney & Bourke collection in Uptown Jewelers. We previously spotted these bags in Animal Kingdom, and we’re so glad they’ve made their way to Magic Kingdom as well.

In Mickey’s Star Traders and The Emporium, we spotted some fun new patches! We found a Mickey Balloons patch…
…a set of Toy Story patches…
…and two sets of Star Wars patches!

We also found several new hair accessories at The Emporium! We spotted rose gold hair ties ($9.99)…
…multi-colored hair ties ($9.99)…
…“best day ever” hair accessories ($11.99)…
…and a Dole Whip headband ($13.99)! The headband isn’t new, but we hadn’t seen it in the Magic Kingdom recently.
Wrapping up our merchandise search at The Emporium, we had to snap a photo of this adorable Disney Tails harness ($39.99)! This princess-themed harness matches the lead we spotted in The Emporium last week.
Sir Mickey’s Update
Get ready for your close-up, because there’s a NEW Royal Portrait Studio in Sir Mickey’s! You can choose between a selection of props (like Snow White’s apple and Mary Poppins’ umbrella) before you take a regal photo in the new studio. And, you just might spot Minnie Mouse herself on your way out. 🙂
