We are more than ready for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to open THIS MONTH on August 29th, and now Hollywood Studios’ newest land is getting even more real.
The land’s map is now live on the My Disney Experience app and on Disney World’s website!
As you can see, the entrance to Galaxy’s Edge is located behind Toy Story Land, near Alien Swirling Saucers.
Upon walking into the land, you’ll come across locations like Droid Depot, Savi’s Workshop, and Oga’s Cantina.
As you continue exploring Batuu, you’ll find none other than Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run, Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, and other shops and dining locations.
If you want to pick out your very own Porg, you’ll be able to do that at the Creature Stall!
And, starting December 5th, you’ll get to experience Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, which is located in the back of the land.
This map makes us even MORE ready for the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge! Stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for more Galaxy’s Edge news.

It looks like there will be an entrance near Muppets 3D, too, will that way opened?
DFB Sarah says
Katie, it appears the entrance near Grand Avenue (BaseLine Tap House/Muppets) will be open for Galaxy’s Edge. We expect the Toy Story Land entrance to be accessible, also, but we’ll keep a close eye on this as the opening gets closer so there’s clarity for you.
Katie says
Thanks, Sarah! It seems like that will be a much quicker way to get in to Galaxy’s Edge!

Mickey says
Will there be any character meet and greets here? Any shows and nighttime entertainment? Any parades? Trying to see what else there is other than the rides.
DFB Sarah says
Mickey, the characters don’t have static meet-and-greets; they wander in their particular areas of the land and meet guests more organically. For example, we’ve see Chewie “fixing” the wheels on a stroller and Rey strolling the area near Rise of the Resistance. The only show is a small one with Kylo Ren and the Stormtroopers by the TIE Eschelon in the First Order, though we’ll have to wait and see how shows and performances shake out over the coming months and years. The attractions are really the big “things to do”, in addition from Savi’s Workshop — Handbuilt Lightsabers, Droid Depot, and Oga’s, which are all destinations in their own right.
Mickey says
Thanks Sarah. That helps me to plan my sightseeing tour. Are there Photopass Photographers there? As for food, does the quick service have a variety of meals that are beef free? Looking for chicken, turkey, seafood, or vegetarian foods.
DFB Sarah says
Mickey, there are PhotoPass photographers in Galaxy’s Edge, and we’ve even heard of and see some MagicShots. Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo is the main quick service restaurant in Galaxy’s Edge, and it offers a few items that would meet your requirement. The Fried Endorian Tip Yip, the Roasted Endorian Tip Yip Salad, the Yobshrimp Salad, the Felucian Garden Spread, and the Ithorian Garden Loaf (so far only at Disneyland) are all beef- and pork-free. If you do eat pork, Ronto Roasters wraps are also pretty tasty. Here’s a link to our full review of Docking Bay in Disneyland so you can see what these dishes look like.
