And now, they are serving up the Mich-Helado! This is made with iced amber beer, spiced tomato, lime sorbet, house-made tamarindo sauce, and Tajin.
Tajin has been a trendy ingredient around Disneyland Resort for a while now, and this drink has a lot of it! Since the Tajin is on the rim of the drink, you get a bit of that unique “Tajin kick” in every sip.
We thought the beer worked well with the Tajin. We tasted a bit of spiciness after each sip, but that was quickly diffused by the ice-cold beer.
Now, the part that was a little off for us was the tomato and lime sorbet ball, which is doused in tamarindo sauce. Though we thought the sorbet was good on its own — we weren’t huge fans of the combination with the tamarindo sauce. The savory and sweet between the two clashed instead of working together.
We did drop the sorbet ball into the drink and everything actually mixed quite well! The sorbet kept the drink cool and the overwhelming taste of the tamarindo seemed to fade into the background. After we dropped the sorbet ball into the drink, we were actually pleasantly surprised with the outcome and we really enjoyed the drink!
But WARNING! Be prepared for guests to stop you to ask where you got the drink because it’s a total eye-catcher. You can find the Mich-Helado at Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream for $10.49!
