We’re counting down the days until Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge officially opens in Disney’s Hollywood Studios on August 29th!
Now we’re even more excited for the immersive new land to open because reservations are now available for Oga’s Cantina, Savi’s Workshop, and Droid Depot! This is not a drill!
Currently, all three of these experiences are available to book 180 days in advance on Disney World’s website (through February 3, as of publishing) — links below! The reservation page for each experience specifies that reservations are highly recommended, and only Droid Depot specifies that the Depot “may also accommodate walk-ins each day, subject to availability”.
Savi’s Workshop — Handbuilt Lightsabers
If you’ve always wanted to build your own lightsaber, you’ll be able to do so at Savi’s Workshop — but it’ll cost you a nice chunk of change! The experience costs $199.99 plus tax per builder, and you must provide a credit card guarantee when you make your reservation. If you need to cancel your reservation (which in nontransferable), you must do so at least one day in advance, or you will be charged the full amount. Note that you (and up to one guest) may arrive no earlier than 15 minutes prior to your reservation time slot and that late arrivals may not be accommodated.

Oga’s Cantina
We recently got a first look at Oga’s Cantina in Disney World, which you can read about here! If you plan to visit Oga’s, note that there is a 45-minute time limit for this experience, and guests may enjoy up to two alcoholic beverages. Also, as with other Advance Dining Reservations at Disney World, if you need to cancel your reservation, you must do so at least one day prior to avoid the $10 per person cancellation fee.
According to Disney, seating is not guaranteed upon entry, and separate parties may be seated together. Large parties may be separated as well.
You can make a reservation for Walt Disney World’s Oga’s Cantina online now!
Droid Depot
If you want to bring home your very own droid, you can build one at Droid Depot! This experience costs $99.99 plus tax per builder, and each builder may bring up to one guest. Reservations are nontransferable, and you must cancel at least one day in advance or you will be charged the full cost of the experience.

Maria says
Are the Star wars food locations quick service dining plan eligible?
DFB Sarah says
Maria, this info hasn’t been released yet by Disney, but we’ll update when it is!
Brad Burnett says
Just booked reservations for both Savi’s and Droid Depot on August 30th. The time slots for Savi’s are filling up really fast! I assume this will allow me entry into Galaxy’s Edge?
Cristoph says
Do you know if the droid depot will also be open at the extra hours in the morning for hotel guests? I cant find any reservation-slots for these times.
Kate says
Woohoo got a reservation for our first day there around lunch time!! Are there any small snacks available or just drinks? Can’t wait!! Thanks again for your Instagram stories, I got this reservation and the free quick service meal plan deal at Pop Century because you posted them 🙂
Maria says
Thanks I have seven days and I can make reservations. Cantina and droid making big priorities for us. So excited ?
Chris says
Omg thank you for posting this. Just got my reservation for October!
Sam says
Can’t seem to make a booking for the 29th 🙁
Susan says
Amazing! Thank you for posting this. I got a reservation for Oga’s in October. So excited!!
Sandra says
I just tried to check reservation times for Oga’s in December, but it just shows the hours it’s open. Have you heard of anyone else having this issue?
Lauri says
So, so, so bummed I missed this because we will be there only August 29-31st…… nothing is available! I guess we will have to wait until our next trip in 4 years…..boooo!!!!!
Nicole says
Hi! I’ve been searching online, and reading comments on social media and I can’t seem to find any confirmation, but will a reservation to any of these experiences guarantee an entry into Galaxy’s Edge? Or will it be a missed opportunity if you get there and it’s at full capacity … Has it been mentioned anywhere? Thank You! 🙂
Tony says
When booking a reservation for building a droid we want to build 1 droid and have the second person watch. Should we book the reservation with 1 participate or 2?
Red Grange says
This will be an epic fail like here in Cali. You can only live on box office proceeds for so long. Families are not in to this genre
Lisa says
Sorry, typo. That was supposed to read, If your party is just one child traveling with two parents, will BOTH parents be allowed to accompany the child to Droid Depot? (Same question with Savi’s, I guess.)
JEANNE M SIROVATKA says
Thanks – was able to make reservations for all three in January!
SynA says
Thank you SOOOOOO MUCH for this info. I wasn’t sure if I would be allowed to book either Oga’s or Savi’s for my trip in December, but I just thought I’d check it out & I got BOTH!!! There’s some sort of problem with my saved credit card info on MDE, so I couldn’t book on the phone app but could book on my computer by entering in “different credit card” info (although it’s the exact same info that’s saved on my account). I had left all mornings during our trip open just in case WDW extended Extra Extra Magic Hours for Hollywood Studios & was able to fit in both reservations on different mornings. YAY!
jennifer says
I’m going the week before Christmas, just want Oga’s Cantina, but no luck getting in so far:(
Jen says
Has anyone been able to make a reservation for Oga’s. Every time I try it just says the times they are open and doesn’t give me any times that I can click on. Thanks for your help.
Heather says
Thank you so much for the heads up, got the droid depot and Savis workshop for our trip in November! I’ve been waiting for something like this all summer. Had to jump fast. Alas the cantina was not available but the hubby and I are satisfied.
Renee Zimmerman says
On Disney World’s website it says that dining plans are not accepted at either Oga’s Cantina or Docking Bay7.
Dawn says
Does having a reservation at any of the above guarantee entrance into the land?
DFB Sarah says
Dawn, I just re-read all the reservation info for all three experiences, and none mentions anything about the reservation being a guarantee to enter the land. If I do see or hear this, I’ll update. (I’m curious about it, too!)
DFB Sarah says
Renee, that’s correct. We’re watching to see if this changes (likely for Docking Bay, possibly snack credits will be usable at Oga’s for breakfast food items and non-alcoholic drinks, but we’ll clarify if/when these are announced!).
DFB Sarah says
Heather, keep trying the Cantina; we’re still seeing some availability this morning, so perhaps it was a glitch?
DFB Sarah says
Jennifer, I’m seeing times that week. Try again today!
DFB Sarah says
Lisa, Disney is saying only one guest with a Builder in both experiences, unfortunately. I have heard of instances in Disneyland where a young child (under three?) was allowed to accompany his/her parents into the experiences, though, and DLR now allows two guests with a Builder in Savi’s. I’d talk to the cast members when you check in and see if they can accommodate.
DFB Sarah says
Tony, one participant (the “Builder” can bring in one guest).
DFB Sarah says
Nicole, so far I have NOT seen this mentioned anywhere. I’m going to try to find out today.
DFB Sarah says
Kate, the full menus were released this morning (!!), and the only food items are two breakfast offerings (Rising Moons Overnight Oats and Mustafarian Lava Roll) and the Batuu Bits snack mix the rest of the day. We included a look at the Batuu Bits in our Oga’s review from Disneyland if you want to see if they’ll work for you.
DFB Sarah says
Christoph, we expect all of the Galaxy’s Edge experiences will be available from 6AM onward, but we don’t have confirmation on that…
DFB Sarah says
Brad, looking into this!
Heather says
Thank you for the recommendation to try again for the cantina. I got a lunch reservation in November
DFB Sarah says
Great news, Heather! 🙂
DFB Sarah says
For those wondering if a Savi’s, Oga’s, or Droid Depot reservation means guaranteed entry to the land: We’re still looking into this. We spoke with two different people in Guest Services this morning, and we got two different answers — both mostly affirmative, but we don’t feel completely confident because no official policy has been announced, and these responses were not precisely the same. We’re going to keep an eye on this and update as soon as we hear/see an official policy.
Carissa Cousineau says
I have been trying for 2 days to get a reservation for Og’s but just the hours show up.
Lisa R says
I have to echo my thanks for the post yesterday about the reservations. It was crazy and took a long time but I was able to book reservations for the Droid Depot, Savi’s and Oga’s. This morning I was even able to get a better time for Oga’s and the Droid Depot.
I do hope that the dining plan can be used at Docking Bay and that the souvenir glasses are available at Oga’s. I will anxiously wait for the first day reviews!
Matt G says
Any standby for the Cantina?
Amanda says
I’m not happy with how Disney handled this at all! It would have been nice to have an advance heads up when reservations would become available. You plan so far in advance then to only be given minutes notice that you can make reservations! Looks like I won’t be doing anything opening weekend unless walk-ins are allowed. I wish there would have been a formal announcement that on this date and time reservations would open. Maybe I should have done Disneyland instead!
Mark says
Just tried for Dec 6 and Dec 13 and nothing is available
DFB Sarah says
Matt, this is unclear. The webpage says reservations are “highly recommended”, and there’s no other information about walk-ins. We’re watching for this info and will update if/when we get clarity.
DFB Sarah says
Lisa, we were told recently that the souvenir mugs are expected at Oga’s by opening day! We’ll try to confirm this when the land opens!
Suzanne Constantinou says
When did reservations for the cantina open? It seems to be all booked already. (At least for the times we are going.) I feel like it must be super small in there if everything is already taken. *sigh*
Jenn C says
Been on MDE site for 2 hours. Availability for Oga’s keeps popping up then disappearing. I called Disney Dining and the cast member said that she’s been having issues with it doing the same on her computer. She advised me to keep trying as it’s likely a MDE site issue.
Hilda says
Nothing available for December!
Chris says
I thought I read somewhere ( I can’t remember where) that with a reservation you are guaranteed entrance. It would be a real shame to charge people a non refundable charge to a card and not let you in. I can only hope this wont happen. It doesn’t sound like Disney magic if it did.
Laurie says
I’m so confused. If you make a reservation for Droid Depot/Savi’s Workshop/Oga’s Cantina are you locked into buying something? What’s the charge for? Can you just go in and look around without a reservation? Thanks!
DFB Sarah says
Chris, in Disneyland this was the case. We’re still waiting on official word from Walt Disney World about this.
DFB Sarah says
Laurie, you can not enter Savi’s at all unless you pay $199.99 to build a lightsaber (or you’re the guest of someone who paid to build a lightsaber). At Droid Depot, there’s a store element, and you can enter and shop in the store without having to pay the $99.99 to build a droid. In our experience, Oga’s was allowing people in just to take pictures (we saw this toward the later part of the day), but there’s no guarantee they’ll do that if it’s super busy.
Aaron Downey says
It is a disgrace that Disney didn’t give a heads up in advance. I can book ogas for 2 but not 3?? Will this still guarantee us entry for the 3 of us?
