We’re heading back to Disneyland Resort where What’s New is loads of spooky merchandise and themed sweet treats! Grab a fork (and a flashlight for those haunted bits), and let’s dig in!
Disneyland Park Food Update
Main Street, U.S.A.
is celebrating the temporary return of the Main Street Electrical Parade with this seriously colorful Mickey Krispie Treat. Even with all of those bright (dare we say electifying?) sugar nonpareils, we’re still partial to the chocolate medallion with that iconic MSEP font!
See our review of the Main Street Electrical Parade Krispie Treat here!
But MSEP isn’t the only event in the Park that’s getting the Krispie Treat-ment! Haunted Mansion turns 5o, and as part of the on-going anniversary celebration, the clever pastry chefs have crafted a Krispie that resembles a Doom Buggy! See our full review of this dark chocolate-covered confection here!
Plaza Inn is also buzzing with excitement for the Main Street Electrical Parade, and they’ve got the colorful cake to prove it! (See our review here!) You’ll have to bolt in to get it before the lights go out on this cake on September 30!
Adventureland
When the summer sun heats up Adventureland, head to The Tropical Hideaway where Mango Dole Whip was available on our visit! Read all about it here!
Fantasyland
Red Rose Taverne
is currently offering a pepperoni pizza with pepperoni so big, even the Beast wouldn’t growl at it. We found the flatbread to be hot and crispy — peep our review here! No word on if this will become a permanent member of the cast in the Taverne, but we’ll keep an eye on it!
Disneyland Park Merchandise Update
Recently we spotted a Cinderella Castle LoungeFly Backpack in Walt Disney World (see it here!), and there’s a Sleeping Beauty version now available at Disney Clothiers! Run-don’t-walk!
Disneyana has lots of colorful, energetic designs for the Main Street Electrical Parade. This Tumbler is packed with charm!
There’s also a Main Street Electrical Parade Magnet Set that is a must for any Parade fan! The cartoon-like designs are bright and sweet, and you can use them to stick all kinds of vacation memories to your fridge or filing cabinet!
Disneyana also has Main Street Electrical Parade prints that feature the same cute Jerrod Maruyama designs.
Port Royal Curios and Curiosities is packed with irresistible merchandise right now. We’re starting with some frightfully fabulous Nightmare Before Christmas Ears! We shared these ears when we spotted them in Disney World yesterday, so click here for even more views!
The Hatbox Ghost Purse we spotted at Port Royal is also giving us life… or not, since it’s a ghost. You know what we mean!
When you open the circular top, he pops out! Creepy! Faaaaabulously creepy!
This Haunted Mansion Tote isn’t as surprising, but we still love the embossed material and collection of patch-like ornamentation. (Dooney & Bourke have released Haunted Mansion-inspired purses, too! Check them out!)
This Haunted Mansion Mug has a surprise, too. First, we’re digging the lid to keep our beverages steamy, but wait until you see what happens when you pour in a hot liquid!
Hatbox Ghost decal comes to life! Boo, indeed!
At The Christmas Shop, we spotted new-to-us ornaments that embody some of our favorite landmarks and attractions. Sleeping Beauty Castle is not just a lovely depiction in pink and blue…
It also lights up! We’re loving the special effects in the merch we spotted today!
Space Mountain gets some love with this two-sided design.
The Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters ornament features the Aliens and Zurg!
Big Thunder has so many details, we might keep this one out on display year-round.
Can’t you just see this perched on your desk? Maybe we’ll get one of each of these ornaments just for that purpose… .
Splash Mountain is lovely in shades of green!
And Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room is a play on colors and Polynesian details.
Naturally there’s a Haunted Mansion ornament, too! Check out the happy haunts swirling around the right ear!
Too much to love here. Haunted Mansion fans, you are having a MOMENT these days!
The it’s a small world ornament is adorable. The tiny dolls, shiny gemstones, and colorful glitter are quintessential in their design.
And we’re in Disneyland, so the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train ornament might seem a little out of place; but we’re still here for it.
Radiator Springs Racers is a cheerful and fun ornament. Check out the details right down to the sideview mirrors and headlights!
And Luigi and Guido are keepin’ it Ka-Chow on the back!
Over at Launch Bay, customizable, on-demand magnets are ready for printing!
There are loads of designs, and you can make your on-demand cell phone cases here, too! Make some time to indulge your inner designer for this!
Disney California Adventure Food Update
Disney California Adventure Park is still celebrating The Lion King, with Simba and Nala Cake Pops roaring into Trolley Treats!
Simba is comprised of chocolate cake…
…while Nala brightens things up with vanilla. Check out our review of the cake pops here!
Disney California Adventure Construction Update
We spotted a construction wall with character near the entrance of the Red Trolley Car.
Disney California Adventure Merchandise Update
Julius Katz & Son
has a couple of fun Nightmare Before Christmas pieces. This Jack and Sally Tray is so great, we’d keep it out from Halloween through Christmas.
And Jack needed a snow globe, right? What’s this? What’s this? It’s a Jack Skellington Snow Globe (also starring Zero).
Julius Katz & Son also has this fantastic 3D Hitchhiking Ghosts photo holder!
Downtown Disney Merchandise Update
The Dress Shop
has the lovely Flower Minnie and Mickey Mouse Strap Dress.
And World of Disney should be called World of Spirits because it’s the home of a ton of Haunted Mansion merch! These Salt & Pepper Shakers for Madam Leota and Master Gracey have us feeling spicy.
And LoungeFly has a great satchel design in this location.
For a Tumbler that will prevent you from spilling your drink when you’re shaking with fear, World of Spirits has you covered. 😉
We spotted these fun Haunted Mansion Patches, too.
And for a little diversion, Chip ‘n’ Dale Patches…
…and Nightmare Before Christmas Patches, too!
Now back to our regularly scheduled Haunted Mansion merch: we are going batty for this Haunted Mansion Pen!
And what’s a bat pen without a Tombstone Notepad on which to write? Well, it’s still a fabulous pen, but why not get the notepad, too?
Now we want you to brace yourself. Or, rather, brace your wallet because you are going to need these next two items. Stretching Room Socks!!
Hitchhiking Ghost Socks!!
And to keep out the chill of all those 999 happy haunts, a Haunted Mansion Sweatshirt!
And a second Haunted Mansion Sweatshirt! We’re drawn in by anything with that iconic HM wallpaper design, so Welcome Foolish Sweatshirt!
Also Welcome Foolish Tee Shirt! 😉
This heather gray Haunted Mansion Tee isn’t so over-the-top, and it might make a good gift for the quieter Mansion fan!
This two-tone red tee has a burn-out look that might actually fit in pretty well in that strategically-dusty mansion… .
And in case you forget, once you purchase a long-sleeve, glow-in-the-dark Haunted Mansion tee shirt, “There’s no turning back.”
And this ghoulish design pulls together a plethora of Mansion icons on a tie-dye blue background.
The final tee shirt design (of the day!) is this Haunted Mansion design featuring the manse itself (and some friendly ghouls!).
Cap it all off with the Haunted Mansion hat! Suffice to say, we need that Hatbox Ghost purse to go along with this. I mean, how could we not?
Boo! Did we scare you? No? Well, that’s fine because the amount of Haunted Mansion merch in Disneyland Resort is borderline scary enough. 😉 But thanks for sticking with us, and stay with DFB for even more What’s New comin’ at you from all the Parks of Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World!
