Walt Disney World’s Coronado Springs Resort
is already a destination for conventions and large-scale gatherings, and now that Gran Destino Tower is welcoming guests, Disney has announced a quartet of exciting locations for weddings at the Resort!
Destino Plaza unfurls at the foot of Gran Destino Tower on a grassy expanse in front of the windows of Barcelona Lounge. (Read all about Barcelona Lounge here!) This wedding venue also offers sweeping views of Lago Dorado, and the flexible space means ceremonies, pre-receptions, and receptions can overlook either the tower or the lake.
Lantana Courtyard is a small outdoor reception or rehearsal dinner space that also has direct access to indoor spaces.
When we visited Gran Destino Tower, Lantana Courtyard was set up simply as an outdoor space, making it a clean slate for design.
La Mesa Patio is a half-circle-shaped outdoor space off the Monterey meeting rooms in the main convention space. The Patio features the option for twinkling lights overhead for nighttime events, and it’s set up in Disney’s promotional shots with large round reception-style tables.
The Casitas Courtyard offers fountains and plenty of pretty vegetation in this outdoor space. The Courtyard is located in the Casitas area of the Resort near the Convention Center. This space appears ready for flexible seating and space design for both receptions and ceremonies.
Walt Disney World offers many magical spots for exchanging marriage vows, and these spaces at Coronado Springs are four such lovely locations. Can you have a reception at Disney Worlds galaxy edge?
DFB Sarah says
Monica, I can’t say I’ve heard or seen confirmation of this, so you’d want to reach out to Disney for info!
