Welcome back to another roundup of What’s New in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
Today we’re talking about the latest menu changes and new merchandise we found in the park, including some new pins!
Let’s get started!
Animal Kingdom Food Update
Africa
In Zuri’s Sweets Shop, we saw the same Halloween-themed cupcakes we recently found at Big Top Treats and The Confectionery in Magic Kingdom.
The Shave Ice Cart saga has continued! A couple weeks ago, we told you that we didn’t see the cart during our visit, but instead, they were selling the Shave Ice from the old Ribs Shop window in Harambe Market. Last week, the cart had returned, but this week, the cart was gone again!
Guests could grab Shave Ice from the Ribs Shop window once again during our latest visit.
Asia
is still on the menu at Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafe, and turkey legs have returned to the menu for $15.99.
Discovery Island
Over at Isle of Java, donut holes were not available during our visit, but the new Mini Cinnamon Buns were available for $4.29 or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit!
These cinnamon buns come with a coffee-caramel dipping sauce and we thought they were absolutely delicious.

Multiple Locations
Various popcorn carts around Animal Kingdom still had Mickey’s Birthday refillable buckets and The Lion King Drum Buckets, but we did not spot any Halloween-themed buckets.
Animal Kingdom Merchandise Update
Discovery Island
The merchandise cart between Flame Tree Barbecue and The Feeding Ground had a lot of UP-themed items, including a Grape Soda shirt ($34.99) we hadn’t seen before.
We spotted several items we didn’t recognize in Riverside Depot, including a light-up Mickey ears keychain ($12.99)! The keychain has still and animated settings, and it illuminates with blue lights.
Also new to us was a Mickey bottle opener keychain for $12.99.
For all the pin collectors out there, these next two merch items from Riverside Depot are for you! We found a Limited Edition Goof Troop Kingdom Consoles Pin for $17.99…
…and an Anna and Elsa pin set for $14.99!
That wraps up our walk around Disney’s Animal Kingdom — thanks for joining us! Stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for even more news from Disney parks and resorts.
