We’ve been waiting for a long time for updates on Epcot’s newest restaurant. And now, we have the official name!
Waaaaaaay back in November of 2018 we published a post here at DFB noting that Space 22o was the working name for the restaurant, and it’s finally been confirmed!
Opening this Winter and run by the Patina Group (who also run several other restaurants at Epcot, Disney Springs, and Disneyland’s Downtown Disney), Space 220 will take guests on a dining adventure 220 miles above Epcot!
Guests will board an elevator that will simulate real-time rocketing into orbit as they travel to a space station hovering above the Earth, and diners will see daytime and nighttime views of Earth as they’re surrounded by a full panoramic view of space!

Check back with DFB as we await the official opening date and other exciting details for the restaurant to share with you all!

I absolutely cannot wait to try this out on our Dec trip!!! Assume since Patina group will run it it will be quality especially with over 2000 bottles of wine I hear. Curious about how they will create the menu to sync up with the theme. Also hoping they will have a separate bar that will allow walk ins to enjoy the entire menu like California Grille does.

I wish D23 confirmed the date more clearly… guess they’re not sure if it can be ready by Christmas. Winter is vague which could mean anytime after Dec 21st, and would mean we miss it 🙁 leaving Dec 15th.
Psyched to try this out!

I agree, Heather. Everything I saw from D23 indicated it was opening this winter, not necessarily 2019. We’ll be in WDW starting Dec 14 and are really hoping we are able to try this place.

It sounds great! We will only be there through Dec 4 but something to look forward to next visit!
EPCOT PLEASE BRING BACK LIGHTS OF WINTER- IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL and we always looked forward to seeing it!

I’m also looking forward to Space 220. I’m wondering if Disney will allow dining reservations before the restaurant actually opens, as they allow reservations 6 months in advance. Anyone have any insight on this?
