Finally, we’ve got some brand new, not already-announced-and-just-repackaged-for-this panel food news from D23. And this BIG announcement is the bee’s knees!
A NEW Princess and the Frog restaurant is coming to Walt Disney World.
IKR?!??!?!
This new Table Service restaurant will allow guests to experience waterfront dining on “the bayou.”
The new experience will be coming to Disney’s newest announced hotel, Reflections Resort. This new hotel will be a classic country lodge reimagined. It will feature a-frame houses and treehouse suites.
Here you will find Disney nature-based stories, which will allow the new Princess and Frog restaurant to fit in perfectly!
You can read more about Reflections here!
The decor of the new restaurant will be done in greens and purples, much like Tiana’s dress and accessories! All I’m sayin’ is that Tiana better be servin’ up some of her famous gumbo and beignets! And look at that VIEW!
We cannot wait to explore this all-new dining experience, can you? Follow along as we share more information about this new Princess and the Frog restaurant as it is released!

Dave says
This place sounds exciting, and treehouse suites, wow! Hope they show some references to River Country who’s space it replaced. And this will be DVC too.
Marktini Mouse says
Why, why, why isn’t this restaurant opening at Port Orleans? It may “fit in perfectly” with Reflections’s theme, but how can it possibly fit more perfectly here than P.O.?
Mr.John says
A great looking restaurant Louisana style that sound great is it going to be $$$ . I would like to stay there as a DVC members.😁
Susan says
I completely agree with Marktini Mouse above. Using the same backstory for 2 locations is NOT helpful. AND since there is no restaurant at POFQ, what better location than a New Orleans themed hotel?? Big mistake…IMHO.
Mickey says
Is this going to be character dining? I hope it is.
Jeff says
it’s probably not going in at Port Orleans French Quarter because Disney’s determined they don’t need a full service restaurant at Port Orleans French Quarter.
As evidenced by the fact that there hasn’t been one there for many, many years.
I’m really looking forward to trying it at Reflections when it opens.
DFB Sarah says
Mickey, no info on this yet!
Morgan P. says
This is great! I have been to Tiana’s Place aboard the Disney Wonder twice, and it is one of my favorite Disney restaurants!
Tree G says
I agree with Dave, nods to River Country are MANDATORY!!! For all who’ve been there, it was wonderful!!! Reflections overall will be a fun resort, Disney has that covered, but I believe there should be some RC elements for sure.
Cindy says
Replace Boatwright’s Restaurant in PORiverside?
Deb R. says
I agree that this restaurant would be better suited to POFQ.
Andrea says
I also think it would be better suited to POFQ – it’s what POFQ’s theme is!
Steve A says
I agree with the Port Orleans idea, Disney has been dropping the ball when it comes to placement of restaurants.
– Woody’s BBQ at Contemporary
– Enchanted Rose at Grand Floridian
Layla says
My daughter loved this idea! Now, we are wondering when this may ever come about. Is there any news on construction plans – especially since Splash Mountain is getting reimagined?
DFB Sarah says
Layla, at present it appears Reflections is postponed indefinitely. We will keep an eye on the Resort and restaurant news.
Ken says
In my opinion, the Reflections Resort on Bay lake will never happen… Disney is slowly pricing themselves out of the vacation market, at lease if you are a blue collar guest. The Louisiana styled themed dining restaurant is better suited to enhance the guest experience at PO/FQ much like the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at Disneyland in CA. Plus, you would improve the value and occupancy at PO by simply adding a Disney Transportation feature from any resort to PO to enjoy a themed dinner event/show at PO. I would go in a minute if you could turn the dining experience into another Hoop-ti-do Review experience at PO with a Louisiana /Pirates flare. Do, I need to become an Imagineer or is there no Michael Eisner minds left in the company.
