Are you ready to travel down Cherry Tree Lane?
Well, for the very first time guests will be able to do this because a brand new Mary Poppins attraction is on its way to Epcot!!
We’re screaming supercalifragilisticexpialidocious because a Mary Poppins-inspired attraction is coming to the UK Pavilion at Epcot. This will be just one part of Epcot’s massive transformation over the next few years.
This new attraction will allow guest to “step in time down Cherry Tree Land past Admiral Boom’s house, then enter Number 17, home of the Banks family.” This is where the magical journey will begin. Dick Van Dyke himself helped make the announcement at D23 and even blessed us with a bit of song!
This is just one of the new experiences coming to Epcot as part of the HUGE Epcot transformation. A Moana-themed attraction is also on its way — you can read more about that here!
We can’t wait to learn more about these new attractions soon! So, be on the lookout as we will be sure to update you guys as the news comes in!

I’m so excited for this!!!! Mary Poppins was one of my favorite childhood movies. So excited that there’s finally going to be a ride for it.
Jessica says
OMG!! This is the most amazing news ever!! My favorite movie coming to life.
Karen says
I cannot agree more with Jessica! I just want to add…
WHEN?
WHEN?
WHEN?!!!
Andrew Z says
**correction: Disney did NOT say this was an attraction. They’ve confirmed that this a themed area…no mention of a ride.
DFB Sarah says
Andrew Z., Disney Parks Blog used this language: “The United Kingdom pavilion will welcome the first attraction inspired by Mary Poppins.”
Andrew Z says
DFB Sarah- Disney calls everything an attraction…a pavilion, a meet-and-greet, a new dining experience. While there are strong rumors out there, an official ride has yet to be confirmed.
Randi says
I just hope they don’t include Admiral Boom’s… penchant for living up to his name, shall we say? I don’t think I could tolerate a cannon going off every hour.
Margaret Drayden says
What is the timeline for the Mary Poppins roll out????? PLEZZZZ tell us! I’ll be camped outside Epcot waiting!
DFB Sarah says
Margaret, no word on the timeline. We’ll let you know when to start camping! 😉
Essie says
Omgosh, Mary Poppins is the most magical film experience in my childhood. I’m extremely excited about this new attraction.
Ellie G says
I love Marry Poppins but it will be almost 10 months since they announced this and has any construction been started or set?
DFB Sarah says
Ellie, as of our last Park visit, we didn’t see anything in progress.
David Kinsman says
It’s about time they spent some money in this country. Epoch has needed upgrades for years
Essie says
I used to love when they had the street play actors in the UK pavilion, as therthey were so funny, but I’m more excited about the Mary Popping attraction.
Ken says
I am all for the Mary Poppins attraction, land, themed street, or what ever. The England area needs something besides a few shops and a walk up fish and chips window. I could never understand with Disney’s attention to Detail, and one of the most loved motion pictures of all time, so little was imagined into the English experience for guests. A Mary Poppins tie in is long overdue and how about the Beatles…? Then, why is it you cannot purchase a pint of English stout or beer. They will sell you a glass or a cup, but not a pint… what is up with that… so much for the attention to detail. As for Moana, who cares… the movie was a flop at best and now they are pushing it like it was a stellar success at the box office. Let it die and move into history as an also ran… there are much better ideas for guests to enjoy than Mo-who-na ?
