Bright suns!! The day we have waited for is ALMOST HERE!! Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has neared its opening date, people! 🙂
TOMORROW, guests coming from galaxies both far and wide will be able to experience all that the planet of Batuu has to offer!
Today, we had the opportunity to check out the official dedication ceremony of Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios.
This ceremony, which took place at 10:00 AM this morning, was led by Bob Chapek and a few Star Wars characters. Bob Chapek shared a few words about the creation of Galaxy’s Edge and the immense amount of storytelling involved in the process. He also thanked Disney Imagineers for their hard work.
Hondo, R2-D2, Chewy, BB-8, Vi Moradi, and a few Stormtroopers also took the stage.
Now, let’s travel to the planet of Batuu to explore this NEW land together!!
Guests will enter Galaxy’s Edge through the entrance located near Star Tours and Muppet*Vision 3D. There is another entrance located in Toy Story Land, but this one will only be used as an exit when the land first opens.
Once inside, guests can head to dining locations and merchandise shops, or they can hop in line to ride Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.
The dining locations include Oga’s Cantina (which could possibly be full due to reservations), Ronto Roasters, Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, Kat Saka’s Kettle, and the Milk Stand.

When it comes to dining, we suggest heading to Ronto Roasters to grab a Ronto Wrap.
This was hands-down one of our favorite things to eat in the entire GALAXY!! You can read our full Ronto Roasters review here!
Merchandise shops can be found throughout the land, but many of them are found in the land’s marketplace. The land has many different types of shops from Dok-Ondars Den of Antiquities to Resistance Supply.
Pieces of merchandise to be on the lookout for include Galaxy’s Edge metal gift cards and Kyber Crystals! Both of these sold out QUICKLY at Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland.
Read more about why this gift card is so special here!
A few other unique places that you may want to check out are Savi’s Workshop and Droid Depot — which are also taking reservations!!
Savi’s Workshop gives guests the opportunity to build their very own lightsaber. The four themed lightsaber building options include Peace and Justice, Power and Control, Elemental Nature, and Protection and Defense. And though this experience is SUPER COOL and UNIQUE, you will have to pay $199 before entering.

Droid Depot
will give you the opportunity to customize and build your very own droid friend!! We had SO much fun building our droid friend, which we named Fred.

For those planning to experience Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, take note that your wait time will have the possibility of being seriously reduced if you hop in the single rider line. Also, we have had the opportunity to ride on the “fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy” a few times — so check out our Millennium Falcon tips and tricks here!
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, which will be the second attraction in Galaxy’s Edge, will officially open in Disney World on December 5th. Disney has recently released more information about this experience — which you can read about here!!
Be sure to follow along tomorrow as we will be reporting LIVE from the park giving you updates on wait times, crowds, and more.
We cannot believe this moment has finally arrived! Now it’s time to look forward to the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser coming to Disney World and the Avengers Campus coming to Disney California Adventure!
