In case you missed it 😉 , Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is now open as of TODAY in Disney World’s Hollywood Studios!
And we do mean OPEN… as in, as of press time, the new land is open for all guests to enter without needing a “Boarding Pass” via the Virtual Queue system!
Throughout the morning and into the afternoon, the land had a “closed” status at full capacity and visitors were required to be part of a Boarding Pass Group available via the Virtual Queue to enter. (As a reminder, guests can check this status on their My Disney Experience App.)
“Open,” however, means that Boarding Groups are not in use at the time and that anybody is welcome to enter Galaxy’s Edge!
Now, things could change at any moment, as the Virtual Queue kicks in when the land reaches capacity. So bear in mind that you may still indeed need to access the Virtual Queue via your My Disney Experience app for your first visit to Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu. If you have not done so — UPDATE YOUR MY DISNEY EXPERIENCE APP for the latest updates. You can read about how this system works, so you can be prepared just in case, by clicking here.
But for now, it’s all systems GO for entry into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge on Opening Day!
